Ocean's Eleven.

Fun movie to let play while you're doing other stuff.

Remake. I want to see the ending of the Rat Pack original, as I got the first hour on a plane flight into Vegas a few years ago and it was off the in-flight entertainment by the time I was flying back home. :(

The original is great and has a twist ending that is frankly hilarious. I highly suggest you watch the full movie.
I liked the remake and the movies that followed are pretty good as well.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - if you like Danny Elfman and Tim Burton, this one's for you. Doesn't overstate its welcome and has a delightful fantasy world in it.

BLOODSHOT

Ray Garrison is a special forces soldier who gets killed and is then resurrected as an immortal supersoldier with nanotechnology only to realise everything he knows about what happened to him is a lie and the people who brought him back aren't what they seem to be and that he is being controlled and forced to live out the same sequence of events over and over again. But bit by bit he starts to regain control with the help of an insider and a computer wizard.

Bloodshot is based on a bit lesser known comic by the same name from Valiant comics who never gained as big popularity as DC or Marvel. But who have quite an interesting, slightly flawed superheroes.

Vin Diesel, who is probably one of the more prominent and charismatic "new" proper action stars of the 2000s shines on the lead role, which has some similarities to his best and most known character of Riddick from the Pitch Black trilogy but still making it new and fresh.

Without knowing anything of the comics the story is bit hard to follow at times but it moves along with a great pace and the time just flies watching it.
It is clear that this movie is just a first in a series and I for one hope there will be more as it set a quite an interesting premise and the movie is visually just absolutely stunning. There could be a tad bit more humor but this has a much more serious undertone anyways than the Marvel movies without being pointlessly dark like most of the new DC stuff.
This is also one of the few superhero movies that you actually wish would have been an R-rated instead of PG13 as some of the re-animation sequences give premise of being even more brutal.

It is however very refreshing to see "new" type of superheroes as well...and with the classic MCU now over there is a certain void in the world of superhero movie world and Bloodshot manages to fill some of that void rather well indeed.

Saturday Night Sci-Fi

Made way ahead of its time (1973), this film ranks number 41 on my Top 50. 9/10

Aliens and their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters. They can only be killed in numerical order, and Number Four is next on the list.  Fairly interesting with decent fxs. 7/10

This was very funny and Arnold does a great job here. All around good cast and a well written script make this an enjoyable experience. 7.5/10

This was a fabulous film and written by the same author of True Grit. Dean Martin and Robert Mitchum are excellent in their roles and the supporting cast is first rate. 8/10

For us last night, it was Muppet Christmas Carol, my favorite adaptation of Dickens' immortal tale.

In a dystopian future, a cross country automobile race requires contestants to run down innocent pedestrians to gain points that are tallied based on each kill's brutality.  Quirky yet amusing film. 6/10
