After the pure garbage that he put out the last time I'm not having any expectations on this one, but I am interested in hearing the songs he did with Tony and Zakk...the rest are most likely gonna be crap but those have potential for sure.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will erase all past inductees and rename themselves The Temple of Ozzy. I'd rip my balls off with my bare hands and eat them just to hear five seconds of this album before it is released.

A lot of albums are done like that and have been for years. Iommi’s solo album from 2000 was done with a lot of performers recording their parts in seperate locations.

Yeah but they don't have that jamming feel to them...the songs feel less alive quite often. It's a different sound.

Albums just aren’t recorded that way where everyone gets in a room and jams and it’s recorded off the floor. Everyone records their own parts separately and it’s mixed together. Whether it’s in different locations or not it’s essentially the same. “Sermons of the Sinner” was recorded exactly with that technique.

I will say though, it does seem less of an organic process compared to thrashing out and building the songs as a band together before going into the studio to record their parts separately. 
Maybe “less organic” is the word you’re looking for?
