I can imagine... I've been dragged to New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys concerts over the last decade*, their fans have not aged gracefully and hormone deprived 50+ women are no better than pre-teens! At least the Bon Jovi gigs had pseudo rock music to dull the pain!



* The girlfiend wouldn't go on her own and she doesn't have female friends prepared to go with her!

I have pretty much the same experience as you Z. Took a then girlfriend to a Bob Jovi show on the New Jersey tour and hated every second of it. As if the music and loud screaming girls wasn’t bad enough the stage set up was in the round but the stage was at one end and we were sitting behind the band who spent most of the show with their backs to us.

Still to this day the most unenjoyable show I’ve ever been to.

It's an ordeal, for sure. I've undergone electroshock nerve testing and I think I prefer that to the Bon Jovi concert.

This week's induction is HIM frontman Ville Valo.

HIM (although is a horrible band) is one of Finland's most internationally succesful bands...

I think the only time I heard of HIM was from another Rock Radio ranking thing. But, yes, famous bands are likely candidates for halls of fame. You suppose the guy from Hanoi Rocks also makes the Hall of Fame?

I'm actually bit surprised as HIM was pretty big in the US... Tattoo artist Kat Von D for one was a huuuge fan...

For me, though, I don't listen to the radio for recent music, I play the radio for oldies, blues, or Tejano. But that would be why I know nothing about HIM.
