Totally agree with Alice Cooper being on the wall of a Hall of Fame. His theatrics, like Bowie's made a LOT of future bands possible!

Nah, their album Angel Dust was quite big back in the day (25+ years ago), but they haven't stayed around. Probably shouldn't be on the list! ;)

OTOH, Patton's been doing a lot of really cool/unusual stuff over the years. Sort of a musician's musician, as it were. I can see him being cited as an influence. A bit of a hipster move, perhaps, but still valid.

By the way if some of you are wondering this isn't a top 50 list or anything so the order of the inductions is totally random...but it does seem to go with their birthdays a bit...

Two weeks ago it was Alice Cooper who's birthday it was, last week Tony Iommi who's birthday it was and now Bon Jovi who's birthday is next week.

I'm not really a fan of (Jon) Bon Jovi but I have to say that when they set their mind not to do "pop rock" they did do some good songs: Wanted Dead or Alive and Dry County spring to mind but they were too few and far between.

I agree...Wanted Dead Or Alive, and Blaze of Glory are great tracks. But they did go bit too far to the pop department on some of their stuff. But when a Bon Jovi song come on the radio it's not an automatic head explosion.

Also no one can deny the huge impact Bon Jovi had especially in the mid 80s...

I was once forced to attend a Bon Jovi concert in the mid 80s. The lady who would be my wife in just a few months' time and her friend had to go, and I had to go along. We got there, they bought t-shirts, and we couldn't help but notice all the little ankle biters there that wore the t-shirts like dresses. Cinderella rocked out good and hard for the opening act, but I could barely hear Bon Jovi over all the teenybopper screams, it was like living in a jet engine for 2 hours. I had the worst tinnitus after that concert.
