Saw The Joker with Joaquin Phoenix, thought it was a great movie and Joaquin was superb, I’m glad they killed that son of a bitch Deniro piece of shit.
You need to stop with the spoilers dude. I’ve seen The Joker but others might not have. You  fucked up The Rise Of Skywalker for me.

De Niro is an icon

Oh shit, so sorry Jack man , I won’t mention details anymore, it wasn’t intentional. Sorry.

I meant in the movie Deniro was a piece of shit not in real life of course, he was using the guy to get laughs, making fun of him like a fool, he deserved it, that’s what I meant.

Again my apologies bro.

All good, just maybe in future put *spoiler alert if you’re gonna give away or discuss any of the plot on relativity fresh movies.

Sorry, thought you were saying De Niro was a piece of shit  ;)

Thanks Jack, no I would never say something bad about De Niro, he’s one of my favorite actors, especially the Mob Movies.

Which brings to mind I haven’t watched The Irishman.

When you want to talk about spoilers, there's a trick you can use....

: show
There's a button with Sp on it in the regular reply screen. It puts spoiler tags on your spoiler comments.

So if you want to discuss big plot details, like what's Rosebud in Citizen Kane...

: show
It's the sled, dude. Rosebud is a friggin' sled!

... you can do it without giving away key details.

I finally got around to seeing Bad Boys For Life today, the 3rd installment in the buddy cop franchise starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. I saw one of the previous films many years ago (I forget which one) and remember thinking it was fun.

In this film a number of enforcers of the law start to get bumped off (such as a judge, a forensics officer and informer), and Mike (Will Smith) is also a target. They have to work out who is behind the killings and what the link to the victims is.

It is described as an Action, Comedy but there is a lot more drama in this than there is comedy, but I think that might have been a good thing as trying to force comedy into some of the situations probably woulnd't have worked. It's a solid film I can see why it has been successful and probably benefitted from not having Michael Bay directing. 7/10

Last two movies I saw in theaters was Star Wars 9 and Sonic. 9 gets a C+, Sonic gets an A, surprisingly good.

Watched There Will Be Blood last night, the 2007 drama starring Daniel Day-Lewis' moustache.

I honestly did not see how supposedly amazing and incredible it was. I kept waiting through the whole movie for the good part, and about 3 hours later, it never happened. I had high expectations, given its Oscar nods, but it turned out to be highly overrated in my opinion.

Space Jam

Remarkably relevant in today's world. After watching it, I decided that Bill Murray is the King of All Supporting Actors. He's also great in a number of lead roles, but he can support like. no. other.

A couple of days ago I went to see Onward the new Pixar movie and today me and the girlfiend went to see Misbehaviour a new film about the Women's Liberation group who disrupt the 1970 Miss World competition.

Onward: is set in a world of magic and fantastic beasts where the magic has gone and the creatures now live in suburbia. The voice cast includes Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Octavia Spencer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. On his 16th birtthday Ian - an elf - gets a present which is his dead father's magic staff, he and his brother Barley can use it to bring their father back for a day, but need to go on trip to learn how to use magic and find the gem that will power the staff.

As always with Pixar you know that the animation and visuals are going to be great, and they are not going to throw any old nonsense of a story at the audience. I enjoyed the film and story a lot, it had a couple of nice twists & turns and pulls on the emotions now and again. It is however, not quite up there with the very best Pixar films, but it is a loooong way off being the worst. I'd probably rate it upper middle! 8/10

Misbehaviour: stars Keira Knightley and Jessie Buckly as equal rights activists with Rhys Ifans (Eric Morley), Greg Kinnear (Bob Hope) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Miss Grenada).

As the 1970 Miss World Contest (organised by Eric Morley and to be hosted by Bob Hope) approaches the sexist nature of the show gets under the skin of a bunch of activists who decide to protest against the event.

It's typical British comedy drama based on true events (a la Pride, The Full Monty etc.) but there isn't really that much humour. The film does show the point of view of the contestants, who view the competition as a stepping stone to better things. Greg Kinnear shines as Bob Hope, but was he really that sleazy? It's an ok film but not really my thing. 5/10
