Weather Topic!

Highest ever recorded temp in Finland was 37.2C (99F) but that was about 200 miles north east from here...usually we don't get the hottest air here in south west as the sea keeps things cooler.

So no we have never clocked over 38C or 100F...

We have however gone below -50C (-58F)!! But that was in north east Lapland.

Hey!

Lapland is where SANTA LIVES! On a place called Korvatunturi...exact location unknown.

That is the traditional Saamelaispuku, or the national garment of the Sámi people.

I think if you wear that and you're not a part of the Sámi people they'll skin you alive...they're pretty damn sensitive about their culture.

Temperature fell to 14^oF (-10^oC) last night, and the high today will stay just below freezing.  In other words, Finland weather.
I am not happy.

It'll be in the 50s for the next few days before swinging back up to the 70s and getting everyone's allergies aggravated again.

Rain rain and bit more rain.

One of the wettest starts to December I can remember. Which is okay by me.

And also the CLOUDIEST december to date with only 6 minutes of sunlight for the entire month so far! That's quite something!

Storm Bram today, wet and windy, but not so bad on the south coast more of a problem for Wales and the north.

Cool and dry, but not windy. Rather quite nice here. If the winds pick up in conditions like this, we get to high fire danger rapidly, so if we get wind, I hope the rain comes just before or after it.

Surprisingly (not) more rain again today. Which is the 14th consecutive day of rain...

Thank fat Moses that it hasn't been snow... We'd have more than 2 feet of snow right now! And that would have been sickening!
