So what's the weather like where ever it is you are?

It's pretty darn cold here in southern Finland...it's -11C (which is 12F for you Celsius challenged people) and this actually among the warmest evenings we've had in about a week...Has been -22C (-8F) and next week it might go as far as -30 (-22F) which is officially freeze your fuckin' ass off temp. Ridiculous.

In case some of you might not know I feel like I need to emphasize that I really really really really really really really really HATE winter.

I'm not in the office today due to an ice storm. Winter doesn't bother me, my wife shares your hate for it though, Charger.

It's in the 30s here in Texas, which is 0-3 C for those that don't like to Fahrenheit. Lots of drizzle, fog, rain, miserable day. At least it's above freezing, which is good.

It's actually 0 here in mid Norway right now, so it's practically summer 
Overcast, but neither rain or snow. Don't seem to be any wind either, so it's actually a damn nice day as far as the weather go, considering the time of the year.

By this time of the year I get a bit fed up with cold weather and get very anxious for warmer temperatures.  But our worse days are not as cold as what you mentioned.  Considering how much you dislike winters, have you, at any time in your life, ever seriously considered moving to another country where winters are not so harsh, Charger?

Oh yes I have countless times. But sadly like in so many other things in live there are monetary issues that come to play and prevent any such plans.

So I can only wait for global warming, but that ain't happening either as northen europe will be one of the few places on the planet which will actually get COLDER with global warming...jay!

Tell you what, it's a beautiful day in NYC today. Had a nice brisk walk to the customer site this morning, and the sun is bright and clear.

Being in a pretty similar situation as Charg, i would've gone to Australia. The weather is ofcourse one thing, but the Aussie mentality seems to be very nice, very easy going. I think i would've gone along great in that setting.
For more exploring reasons India and Indochina is appealing. As for places closer by, and i've visited before, Barcelona was inviting enough to wanna come back. I know there've been a tourism explotion since i was there 12-13 yrs ago, though, so might not be that inviting any longer...

Weather here today: clear blue skies and -13 degrees C, with a bit of wind to go. It's the Siberian cold front setting in, and i guess Charg notice that too. Spring can't come fast enough...

New York City for sure....although it can get bit chilly there too so a winter place in Orlando maybe...I know someone who lives there and it's something like 70F there now!


The siberian cold Billy mentioned is settling in now....it's -18C (0F) now but in the morning it's gonna be something like -25C (-13F) or more...whooppi fuckin' doo....and ofcourse I have to go run some errands and drive my mom to a doctor's appointment in that weather....

Atleast you've got the driving option. Getting around without a drivers licence this time of year is really a hindrance, to say the least...

Atleast you've got the driving option. Getting around without a drivers licence this time of year is really a hindrance, to say the least...

Well yes that's true...couldn't imagine living without a driving licence though...where I live I could never get anywhere unless I'd call a cab which costs a small fortune here.

The highest ever recorded temperature in Finland is +37.2C (which is about 99F)....but like last summer we never topped  +30C (85F)....usually in summer the temp is somewhere between 18C and 25C (65-75F)...Not exactly scorchio...

I've got these two thignys sticking out from under my belly called legs. I get to use them alot. Though it's just a small mountain town i live in, atleast most stuff is within walking distance. But i've spent some hours on buses and trains too. Which is expencive enough, don't get me started on cabs...

Pretty much the same as Charg. In July/August we might be lucky with tempratures between 15-25 C, which are bleeding more and more into September now with the stuff that's going on. June is mostly rain and around 10 C. Highest recorded is 35,6 C.
