Finally we got some rain and thunder yesterday! That was fun and what's even more fun is I don't have to water the garden today!! Yaaay!

A drastic change in temperature! Yesterday we had 80F (27C) and today it's 15C (60F)! And it'll stay like that for atleast two weeks...just in time for my vacation! Actually I don't mind the cooler temps as it's nicer to do things outside but now with the bum leg there might not be a lot I can do other than sit in the greenhouse and watch the plants grow! Which they won't do much now.

First tropical storm of the season is headin' fer Texas! Looks like the area around Corpus Christi gets the most soaking, but some of it will come up the 400 miles to Dallas.

29C (84F) here in Dallas, and it's not yet 9am. Heat index puts us at 33C (91F), which is where the misery lives. Hot 'n' humid for the next stretch of days, thankful it's not scorching and humid. Cooler weather by a few degrees in the days ahead.

One thing that I've forgotten to mention is that this has been the windiest summer that I can remember. Not a day has gone by since early june that it hasn't winded...a lot even. Every year I've used glyphosate to wipe out the weeds on my driveways but this year that's been impossible because of the constant wind...

Much more tolerable heat so far this week and we're even in for a few days of rain, very nice to have in mid-July in Texas.

So now we had a windless day...so I took out my gear and started spraying glyphosate...guess what happened after I finished...A massive short lived rain shower...which effectively washed it all away... >:(
