While broad swaths of the US have been getting hammered with fierce weather (4' of snow in ND!), here in the center of it all we've had temps around freezing and maybe two snowflakes.

So two nights ago we had -19C (-2F) and now it's +2 (36F)! Quite a change! And I'm loving it!

Touched freezing this morning in Dallas, warmed up to 10C as of now.

It went down to -4 C last night and it is currently -3 at this early morning hours. Suppose to go down to -6 and snow an inch or so but nothing will stick around as it is going to go back up to 8 C in a few days.

Lots of rain last night signalled a rise in temps to around 12-14C.

Heading into arctic temps for a few days in Dallas, starting tomorrow. BRR!!! Cancel Christmas, move it up a week and push New Year's to February! I'll call up the lads in Qatar to see how they got the World Cup moved around and do likewise.

After couple of nice warm days (with nice rain and melting of the snow) it is now....yeah you guessed it....SNOWING again!

Any of my North American friends here having issues with the Arctic Storm sweeping across the country? I can not imagine a wind chill of -70F / -55C.

Yesterday, the high was 0 F. Today the high is -7 F. Winds ~20mph, gusts up to 45mph. Wind chill -25 F to -40 F.

We got just a little bit of snow yesterday, maybe 2 inches.

Within a hundred mile radius of my house, there are specific instances of power outages, but they have been handled within a few hours, from what I've seen on the news. Otherwise, no problems. Just really COLD. Kansas City, Missouri is the closest big town to me, for reference. Other parts of the country aren't faring so well. I imagine Typhon has been getting blasted.

I blame Thel for sending all of this artic nonsense down here.

I'm in North America; more specifically, Ontario (Canada).  The wind chill here isn't that bad; fortunately I don't have to go out until Sunday, by which time the storm is forecast to have (mostly) passed.

Had one pipe freeze here, the others are fine and we have power.

The temperature is finally starting to move in the positive direction - currently 7 degrees with a forecast high of 17. Monday, highs in the mid thirties. by Thursday, they're calling for a high of 55.

We are lucky in that none of our pipes here have had issues, sorry to hear about yours Z, that's a PIA for sure.
