I can beat those Typhon! Two nights ago we had -6F (-21C)....but now thankfully things warmed up a bit and it's 34F (+1C) now...tomorrow they'll say it's as high as +5C...and then it'll drop below freezing again...leaving everything icy and slippy...yikes.

No ice here, but we have another temperature roller coaster this week. Freezing at the start, up to the 70s by Friday, then back to lows around freezing on Saturday.

We have had storm after storm come through our Island. Snow, freezing rain and plenty of rain. Floods are happening all over the mainland of British Columbia and on the northern part of Vancouver Island. For about a week and a half we had consistent below freezing temperatures especially at night. It has warmed back up to 8 to 10 Celsius during the day, thank god.

Almost +6C (lower 40sF) today...which was very very nice...part from the fact that the whole yard became an ice rink.

Bright but chilly today. It got to -6C last night with freezing fog, but that was a little inland, while here on the coast we probably stayed around 0 or +1.

A winter storm should be rolling in tonight and tomorrow morning...not a lot of snow...just an inch or so but with rather heavy wind...so it'll be a blizzard of sorts for sure...and I HATE that shit.

Well the storm didn't really hit here...passed us from the west...but in the island of Ahvenanmaa they did record a rather high gust of 39.8m/s (89mph) which is extremely unusual in Finland. But that was rather far up the ocean...

Tomorrow should be nice and warm again with temps in high 30s...it should also rain some...hopefully enough to melt some of that slippery ice out there...shit I couldn't get out of the garage yesterday!

Forecast shows a proper snow blizzard heading this way for tomorrow. It is yet bit unclear whether it'll be watery sleet or pure snow...luckily it seems to be leaning towards sleet now...but it still might be somewhere between 4-6 inches of that white stuff....and with a pretty decent wind...
The good thing is it won't drift the snow too much as it's wet but it'll get on everything and trees might be in trouble...

Regardless super sucky weather ahead....not to mention I have to work saturday/sunday night...that'll be fun.... NOT.

NYC is supposed to get either no snow or 2 feet of snow, all depending on an offshore system. Typhon's part of the USA will get snow, regardless, but how this big system tracks determines how much gets dumped and where.

We had nearly 10 consecutive days of mid 30 temperatures in Melbourne, which isn’t too abnormal for Summer but what was abnormal was that every one of those days was high humidity as well. We do get humid days here and there but to have so many in a row was highly unusual. To top it off we had a massive rain storm yesterday that caused mass flooding in certain areas. Was pitch black at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Hot + humidity is horrid! But on the bonus side you do get some cooling rains then too though.

Yikes! Looks like we're both in for a snowy ride then! You bit more than me though.


So far the temp is above freezing so what's coming down now is more rain than snow...let's hope it stays that way for as long as possible!
