Looks like some insanely heavy rain and flooding in Australia. Hopefully not affecting Jack and Scott too badly.

Just read about that too...Australia is a land of extremes for sure..not too long ago extreme drought and massive wild fires and now massive rains.

Meanwhile over here looks like spring might finally be coming....day temps should stay on the + side for the whole week and only few nights that see slightly below freezing temps anymore...about bloody time.

I've never been to Australia, but I've heard everything there is massive. The people are like 12 feet tall, so cars, furniture, buildings, roads, etc. are all twice as massive as anyplace else. I think that's why they can wrestle crocodiles and such.

All good where I live. The floods are happening up North in NSW, Sydney and surrounding suburbs so it could be affecting Scott. One in a 60 year event theyre calling it.

We had no major bush fires here this summer which is the first I can remember in a long time.

The warmest March day in the UK since 1968, 24.5C at Kew Gardens... we might have snow over Easter!

Wow, that's a swing we normally associate with Texas weather!

I was mowing the lawn this afternoon and got attacked by a flurry of snow. It didn't last long, it didn't lay and to be honest I didn't think it would be quite cold enough for snow!

You should file a lawsuit against the snow, clearly it had no right to assault you like that!

Much if April has been cold nights but warm bright days. A number of areas have broken records for the number of April overnight frosts.

We're going to have our rain start tonight, but Saturday should be cool and sunny... and my wife plans to smoke some meats on that day!

After a few very nice and warm sunny days (temp was around 16-18C...low 60sF which is rather unusual for this time of the year) things are taking a step to the worse again...as tomorrow temp plummets to around 2-4C and possible snow or atleast sleet!

So yeah...sucks.

After couple of "warmer" days we're back to winter temps again... +4C (39F) this has been one of the coldest springs in recent history. Where the hell is that global warming when you need it! Probably under covid lock down...

Oh no, it's there. It's in the polar oceans, mostly. That's where the water reduces the depth of the ice pack, threatening the Gulf Stream and the warmth it brings to Northern Europe. Similar impacts on the Jet Stream here in North America are what brought the unprecedented cold that we had back in February. The impacts of the warming come out in much more climate instability and variance - another ice age is a remote possibility from a period of warming, if it results in a general spread of thin ice: the albedo from the ice would then kick off a cooling spiral while overall higher levels of atmospheric energy strengthen winter storms. But that's just one possible outcome out of several other scenarios.
