I have to say I have never even heard of him or the band...but it got some newspaper coverage here as well which truly surprised me so I guess they were more popular than I thought.

Andre Braugher passed away yesterday, age 61, after a brief illness. I remember his excellent work in Homicide: Life on the Streets, Men of a Certain Age, and his epic role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Yes saw that as well...very very sad! He was such a great actor! I too remember him already from Homicide which is something of a forgotten gem.

Homicide was a true gem of a show, absolutely. Not everything got solved and there were some truly ugly endings that rang true.

Drummer legend JAMES KOTTAK passed away at the age of 61.

Kottak played drums for Scorpions but also did a small stint with DIO in the 90s.

He was also part of the HAIL supergroup and played drums for A New Revenge with Tim Ripper Owens few years ago.

Legendary actor Carl Weathers passed away yesterday in his sleep at the age of 76

He's most known for his role of Apollo Creed on Rocky but I also remember him as Dillon in Predator and from the short lived but brilliant buddy cop action series Street Justice from the early 90s!

Steve Harley of Cockney Rebel fame, has died at the age of 73. Touring until recently he had cancelled some dates to get cancer treatment. Best known song was Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me) which hit the UK No. 1 back in 75.

On April 30th, so a few days ago, Duane Eddy passed away at the age of 86. His signature twang turned him into a one-trick pony, but it was one heck of a "trick" that he used to great effect on many hit songs back in the day. Among a lot of things, he was the first guitarist to have a "signature" model made by a guitar company - Gretsch, I believe.
