For tomorrow, I'll take Slovakia - Czech Republic - England. I've got co-workers pressing me into cheering for England, so I'll submit to the peer pressure.

Today's Games:

Sweden v Slovakia: A win for Sweden I think, but Slovakia could scrape a draw. 2-1 to Sweden

Croatia v Czech Republic: Pretty sure Croatia will be too strong for the Czechs, but they could pull off a surprise... but unlikely! 2-0 to Croatia

England v Scotland: On paper this should be quite easy for England. But the Scots are our oldest foe and will raise their game for this local derby. It's like when Liverpool play Everton, the league position rarely has a bearing on the result! My head says this could be a 2-2 draw, but my heart says 3-1 to England. BTW this is the oldest international fixture going back to 1872.

With Sweden Slovakia going on right now I'll pass on that one.

Croatia vs Czech Republic this should be Croatia's show...

England vs Scotland...England proved in their first match that they've got the goods so that should be a rather easy win.

Sweden won a lacklustre match. Having said that they were better in the second half... but that isn't saying much! Sweden are probably through to the next stage with 4pts, Slovakia need to get a result against Spain to progress!

Croatia v Czech ended 1-1, in  another lacklustre game. Frankly it should have been 0-0 as it was never a penalty for the Czechs and the goalie should have saved the Croatian goal!

Croatia need to win against Scotland to have a chance of progressing from the group.

I missed most of the Sweden game but what I saw wasn't flattering...

Croatia was again much weaker than I expected...naturally that early penalty kick probably played a role. It looked like an accident to me but in the end that doesn't matter...elbow to the face = penalty kick.

And now England is struggling against Scotland too....they are playing quite poorly at the moment. Sure Scotland has quite the defence block there but still...not very lively game from the englishmen.

Not a good day for catching lively soccer games, seems like.

You know, though... there was a cracking AFL matchup earlier on... if you want excitement, watch the highlights of the Geelong v Western Bulldogs action!

Yep, their tie with Scotland capped off a day of kissing sisters, after the Croatia-Czech tie.

Quite a lackluster game from England... I have to say I was thinking they might get far this year...but based on this match...no...they won't.

Don't underestimate the centuries old rivalry, and the effect it has on the players. They played ok against Croatia and I fully expect them to beat the Czechs!
