Throat is really sore today, which is normal for me...when ever I get a cold the main symptom is always a very sore throat...which usually lasts a good while. Fever's gone down now...gonna drink some hot flu medicine with a touch of Vodka and lie down...and I think I'd finally get around to watching Angels & Demons as I think I saw it on some of my streaming services....

I went to a funeral today. Rain was pouring, then the hail started as we drove to the grave site. Then the hail stopped as we commenced the graveside service. Rain was still hard. It was out in the country, so everyone was thankful for it.

I still got a bit of fever but nothing too bad..throat is still super super sore but the coughing has stopped so it seems to be going away...and the sore throat then will remain for a long long time as usual.

Bleh, that is always such a miserable combination. Sore throat and a nifty cough to make sure I don't forget my throat is raw.

Indeed. Plus it is not a recipe for a good night sleep.... Last night I woke up 10 times atleast and spent good 5 minutes just coughing...

Well looks like it was Covid after all as I can't taste anything anymore...or I guess it's more like everything tastes like dirt...Wonder how long this will last...?

Ugh! So sorry! Loss of a sense is a hard thing, indeed. Hoping it's temporary with the disease.

Makes eating seem like a chore...it's surprising (or not really to be honest) how big part TASTE is in the whole eating process...without it, or atleast in severely lacking form it loses a lot of it's fun factor.

The good thing is I might go and try out some new stuff like some vegetarian shit because why not? Atleast you can't taste just how bad it actually tastes!

Sorry to hear that Charger, I believe Taste and Smell usually returns within a month.

Make sure you eat properly even if it is tasteless, you need to keep you strength up.

Heh! Yeah... Like I'd ever go vegan even if I couldn't taste it!

Hopefully sooner than a month though...but I think I will keep away from everything that I truly enjoy as there's no real point in eating / drinking those now...I had a glass of good scotch last night and it tasted like...I don't even know like what but it sure as heck wasn't scotch!

Well my taste buds are starting to get back on track again...Some tastes still go bit off but atleast now I can taste most things even if they aren't quite right.

Well recovery of any sort is good news, I'll take it!

I have one friend who's had a debilitating stroke and another going through the aftermath of a cardiac arrest, so any news of progressing recovery is a blessing, indeed.
