Normal Goings-on

Well not so normal but I started doing some renovations in the house...ripped off some wallpapers and sand it down and applied some filler and sand it down again...Now I just need to primer it and then pick out a color for the little piece of wall...

I'm thinking matching it with the kitchen cabinets and paint it faint grey but I'm not sure yet...gotta go see some samples tomorrow...

Haven't done much renovation work in years so it's kind of fun again...ofcourse until that inevitable moment when everything goes horribly wrong.

On my side of things, I get Monday off for a paid holiday. I did my oldies radio show today and subbed in for the rockabilly-punk show that comes on right after mine. Good times.

Well sorry to say but no pictures will be posted as for some odd reason no major disasters occured.

Wall is now painted and part from two small pieces of debris that I missed left under the paint it turned out okay. Not great but okay.

Next month I think I'll tackle another wall then...

Cellphone spam calls. I get them on the regular. To the point where I don't even attempt to answer if it is a number I don't recognize - I figure if it is legit they'll leave a message and I'll get back to them.

Text message spam. All the time.

Email spam. Yep.

Spam via the postal service. Of course.

And that's just talking about attempts at cold-selling. Add in actual scam attempts to the spam and everyday, multiple times a day, and the fact that I'm not special and everyone gets hit up with them, and you end up with enough time, energy, and money spent on scamping people that could otherwise fuel, feed, and provide shelter for everyone on the entire planet. Twice.

Fuck those people behind such things, sideways, without lubrication.

I used to get cellphone spam calls more frequently, unless more callers aren't leaving messages these days.  I still get text message spam fairly regularly.  E-mail spam I've pretty much always gotten and continue to get more of than spam via any other means.  I hardly get any spam via mail.

Just got back from a quick trip to Austin with the missus to work out an issue with her birth certificate so we can renew her passport. Should be good to go in 7-10 business days.

Kind of same thing for me....although some magazine sellers still do spam by phone too...but I just ignore the calls instantly.

E-mail spam is daily and lots of it...but hotmail filters it out to the spam folder pretty effectively.

Yes, I hardly ever get any spam mail in my Inbox; almost all of it goes directly to my spam folder.
