Normal Goings-on

That hat usually hangs at work, but since we've moved our HQ I brought it home. Temporarily, it will probably go back next week as they have finally delivered all of the furniture.

And yeah, I wear it on occasion, but I'm not a hat-dude.

A couple of years ago, I strolled into work wearing it and about four days later I show up and everybody in the office was wearing a hat. Because mocking me is how my colleagues show they care. Right? lol

So it that the usual spot for the speakers Vyn? I like to keep the speakers neat & tidy in corners or against the wall and cables and wires hidden.

I would rather not have speaker wires running all over like that, but those sound like muddied shit if they're too close to either a back wall or a side wall. I remember that guy from the old site -NowInDarkness - posted some pics of his setup and I liked the way it looked. His gear allowed him to have everything in a tidy package. My speakers are like drunks that come over and puke on my floor lol

So, after Jesus is born and the shepherds start to disperse, the pediatrician shows up. He checks out Jesus, kid looks to be healthy, and he's filling out the birth certificate. "OK, that's the length... oh, and could you put my scale in the trough over there?"

"But why?"

"So we get a weigh in a manger!"

For a second I thought I might get festive and spread that holiday spirit around by allowing a randomly selected spam bot to join the forum while I was cleaning all the requests...But then I thought fuck it I don't have a festive bone in my body nor do I have any holiday spirit so I kicked them all to the curb.

I've got neuropathy and today I had to go in for a nerve conductivity test and an EMG. Very painful to endure and I'm still twitching where the electrodes were attached, even 7 hours after finishing with it. If I sit still in an overstuffed chair, it's OK. If I gotta move, ouch.

Still dealing with those after-effects. Oof. Nerves are no fun when they go wrong and stuff has to get figured out about them.

Yeah that sucks.

When I had my second hand surgery years ago they tried to numb the hand by using some sort of nerve numbing tehcnique...which didn't work at all and it also never fully healed properly after that and I'm still occationally having nerve issues on my right hand...

Sorry to hear that one. But, yes, nerve tissue is where there are still lots of question marks in medical science.

That's a tough row to hoe, Z! Hopefully 2023 is the year it gets fixed - and unlike Charger's horrid experience, fixed correctly!

It'll be more like I hope the problem is identified. Fixing may have to give way to knowing how best to cope with symptoms.

I need to fix up a table in my office... wobbly leg became loose leg when I tried to adjust it. Looks like I get to rebuild some IKEA to-day.
