It's definitely the time of year for things like the Norovirus.

Hope you feel better soon!

If it is, then we picked it up on our trip to Burnet, Texas last week or something like that.

But I'm not having other symptoms, might just be food poisoning.

It is Thanksgiving in the USA today. I'll have family and friends over today where we take stock of the year and share our gratitude for the good we have.

And then we ruin the mood by watching the Dallas Cowboys play the NY Giants in a football game that *SOMEBODY* has to win!

Canada post is striking and I have some checks that are trapped in the system
I support the rights of workers but they have chosen the worst time to strike

Indeed. Happy Thanksgiving Z - we are having everyone over as well, but doing that tomorrow. Today is the calm before the storm :)

Thel - that's terrible!

Well that sucks ass. Strikes usually only complicate the lives of people not involved with the striking at all...which is why I do not support any kind of strikes.

Egg Bowl today: Ole Miss vs Mississippi State in a college football classic. Iron Bowl - Alabama vs Auburn - and the University of Texas vs Texas A&M are tomorrow. College rivalry games are so much fun to watch!

I am in Canada and so am also affected by the strike.  I agree with both of you re. your sentiments about the strike and strikes in general.

Yeah, I don't fault anyone for doing what they can to improve their circumstance. But when it hurts other people, I have a problem with it. I don't know about Canada, but in the US a lot of people get their medications sent via the US Postal Service. So a strike by those folks would, in addition to causing general nonsense, cause people like Thel to not get checks they are waiting on, and people like my wife who gets her oral cancer meds through the mail, to not get them.

So, as much as I support Joe Blow getting another five bucks an hour or two extra days off per year, if it is going to risk my wife's life, Mr. Blow can go blow a donkey.

I'd like it to be where the bosses in charge were more like, "holy geez, we're not paying people enough for the work they're doing! I feel awful about gouging profits through payroll reductions! No, time to *make things right!*"

Having been fired just before bonuses went out may be coloring my comments somewhat. But not much. :smug:

So my right arm has been rather sore for the past month or so...had to stop working out 5 weeks ago...anyways...last week things got considerably worse and I could barely lift anything anymore and couldn't straighten the arm at all...so went to the doctor today... Tennis elbow was the verdict. Sick leave for the rest of the year...and meeting with a physiotherapist next week...

Didn't know it was this painful.

Ouch! But I trust in the physical therapy, I've seen it do wonders.
