What was the last Movie you saw... Part III

A man living in a futuristic sterile colony begins to question his circumscribed existence when his friend is chosen to go to the Island, the last uncontaminated place on earth (supposedly).  Fairly interesting and Scarlett Johansson is always nice to look at. 7.5/10

We last saw "41", an Australian film that did an excellent job of exploring time travel. It didn't explain anything, which is always good for the plot. It just worked and the character had to sort things out to get things to work out in the end.

A real gem of a film, zero special effects beyond some red corn syrup when called for by injuries and such.

This was on the Netflix.

Two hard-partying brothers place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves out-hustled by an uncontrollable duo.  A few good laughs, but could have been better. 6/10

Not me...all these remakes and reboots and what nots have been more horrible than the next... The original trilogy is ace but these new versions...they suck balls each and every one of them.

And the reviews this has been getting...wow...could be the worst one yet. Gotta say they have done a great job ruining the whole X-Men thing. Which is why I loved The Gifted so much as that took things back to the old ways...eventhough it didn't even feature any X-men per se....

Anyone plan on seeing The Dark Phoenix?

We saw it yesterday, and while it's not as bad as the reviews suggest it is still quite a poor film. I had so much hope for the X-Men reboot after First Class and Days of Future Past, but Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix have not pushed the franchise forward one bit.

Dark Phoenix is an end to the current X-Men franchise for a few years*, and felt very much like a final throw... kill off a few X-Men, others retire... but without the gravitas of Avengers: Endgame. It's not terrible and has some good performances but that doesn't make up for a poor script and muddled plot. 6/10


* Fox is now owned by Disney who may incorporate a future reboot into the MCU, but not for at least 5 years I hear. And yes, the upcoming New Mutants and X-Force are in the X-Men universe but that's pretty much where their connections end.

I agree with the Deadpool ones, even though I didn’t see them, I did enjoy the young x-men ones.

Still funny after all these years and I am glad that Hugh Wilson was a part of it. 8/10(admittedly an extra point for nostalgic reasons)

A bit by the numbers I still found myself entertained. Strong cast with a weak story, it sort of stumbles around with some cliches here and there. Still not terrible though 6.5/10
