After the family matriarch passes away, a grieving family is haunted by tragic and disturbing occurrences, and begin to unravel dark secrets.  Some good scares. 7.5/10
I watched this a couple of days ago, I’m watching it again to see if I pick up on the clues, is there a hidden message to this movie I didn’t get? Besides the grandmother was evil and a devil worshiper.
I don't think so, although I have only seen it once, also.

I just watched it a second time, that family was doomed, the old lady tried to put that demon in her husband brother and only succeeded to put the demon into the little girl as a baby, but that didn’t work because the demon had to be in a male body, so the mother was tricked into performing a seance to invoke the demo to the house eventually taking over her son’s body.

It was more fun than I thought it would be. Jon Favreau can act as well as direct! It's got a good supporting cast too.

This was a great movie but I must say that it was incredibly depressing at the end. 8/10

Agreed.  It does leave you with a very sour feeling.

Very well done and kept me entertained. I must say that it is sad to see Eastwood so frail and aged. Just another reminder of my mortality. 8/10

True, it was so sad in the last half hour or so.

I had mixed feelings regarding this one. Some of it was entertaining with fantastic special effects. The story though was a bit weak and seemed rushed. 6.5/10

I watched this as a young man and found it entertaining, but fairly over the top. Now I find it has not aged well but still was enjoyable to watch. 6.5/10

Convinced that a CCN cameraman is her true love, an eccentric crossword puzzler trails him as he travels all over the country, hoping to convince him that they belong together.  Very few laughs. 4/10

The best thing about it was the gag reel on the DVD.  :D

The true story of Barry Seal, an American pilot who became a drug-runner for the CIA in the 1980s in a clandestine operation that would be exposed as the Iran-Contra Affair.  Great performance by Cruise.  8/10

I've seen a couple of films recently: The Secret Life of Pets 2 and Godzilla: King of the Monster

The Secret Life of Pets 2 was a bit of a dissapointment, I quite liked the first one, but while this sequel isn't bad I do feel they didn't try as hard as they could have on the story, but the characters are still enjoyable. As I said, not dreadful, could do better. 6/10

Godzilla: King of the Monsters was better than I expected (but I had low expectations!). To be honest I'm not a fan of these "big monsters" fighting each other type films, but the girlfiend wanted to see it. The complaint about the previous Godzilla film from 2014 was that there wasn't enough screen time for the monster... I thought that was a plus point in its favour! And while this film has plenty of screen time for the various monsters they still manage a lot of human time too. It stars Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Charles Dance, Millie Bobby Brown and Ken Watanabe... they all make the most from a far-fetched script. I don't know if it helped at all but most of the fights seemed to be at night in the rain meaning you couldn't always make out what was going on.

The next film in the franchise will be next years Godzilla vs Kong, I hope it's more like Kong: Skull Island (which I really liked) and less like this one. 5/10
