I saw Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse this afternoon. I had orginally been luke-warm about it as the trailers didn't do much for me, and then all the reviews started coming out and they were stellar. So I thought I'd give it a chance.

I should have gone with my gut feeling! While not terrible it is certainly a "run-of-the-mill" superhero movie, the plot is fine but poorly implemented. It is overly long at nearly 2 hours and the animation is mediocre (this is no Disney or Pixar film). There are some redeeming features (Spider-Ham, Spiderman Noir) but over all it is quite weak. 6/10

We saw The Equalizer 2 on rental yesterday. I had seen it in the cinema when it came out and was thoroughly impressed with it at the time. The girlfiend had shown a passing interest but was happy to wait for the DVD. She saw it yesterday and also really enjoyed it (although one or two scenes she didn't much like!). There are few actors who can pull of this sort of role as well as Denzil Washington. 8/10

Finally watched Black Panther. Not as good as I thought it would be with all the hype and whatnot. I have only watched 9 MCU movies so far and that one would not even be in my top 5. Nakia was probably my favorite character.  6/10

Absolutely not as good as the critics or whoever would have you believe. I mean it's not a bad film, but it's plot is nothing new and the only major difference between this and other solid Superhero movies is that it has a largely black cast, which shouldn't be the overiding factor as to whether the film is good or not. Of the 20 MCU films I rank it about 12th.

Funny you say that because my co-worker who is a big movie and MCU buff listed it as number 11 out of the 20. If possible do you think you could list your order of MCU films?
