Director Cameron Crowe's own experiences as a young teenage journalist entering the behind-the-scenes world of Rock And Roll.  A top notch cast, superb soundtrack and visually pleasing.  Amongst the many great tunes in the film, you will hear Black Sabbath's Paranoid and Sweet Leaf.  I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.  8.5/10

This was fun to watch  and full of eighties nostalgia and some surprising character cameos. 7/10

A young programmer is selected to participate in an experiment in synthetic intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of an attractive humanoid.  Interesting story and great fx. 7/10

I saw Ralph Breaks the Internet yesterday. It's okay but a bit of a let down really. It doesn't have the panache of a Pixar film. The film does have some funny moments (the "Mr Creosote" type scene which appears during the closing credits is very funny), and it does look quite good. But where it falls down is with a flimsy plot and some generic characters. 6/10

I usually have little interest in these DC Comics films, but was curious about this one.  Although I am not all that excited about computer graphics, I did enjoy this story. 7/10

A former superhero actor stars in a stage play.  Kind of an odd movie in its presentation. 6/10

We saw A Time To Kill on rental. Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Samuel L Jackson in a race fuelled murder trial. Jackson's characters kills the two men who raped his 10 year old daughter amd McConaughey plays the lawyer who defends his actions assisted by Bullock.

It's ok but I don't think it's as important as those involved think it should be... the "inspiring" summing up by McConaughey is a little "meh". But on the whole I enjoyed it, I hadn't realised McConaughey was doing serious roles that early in his career, the boy done good! 7/10

Yup, I've seen it, loved it. It was the first time I realised McConaughey could act, before that I'd only seen him in moronic rom-coms.

Not bad but not great either. A mediocre remake without the dark humour of the original. 6.5/10

Now this movies has some shortcomings but overall it was a big fun summer blockbuster and was enjoyable to watch.
