Labeouf is surprising, a strong Tom Hardy but too monolithic. The rest of the cast is solid.
good movie.  7/10

It gets terrible reviews - but I found myself enjoying it, as it was not that bad. 6.5/10

Great look to this film.  Well acted, and scientifically accurate in general. 8.5/10

^^^ I bought that a little while ago at Walmart for 5 bucks - still haven't watched it. I hear good things though and I also trust your judgement Ty.

It is the usual top line acting from Bruce Willis and the rest of the cast are solid. - I really think it deserves a better reputation. Most people have given it a bad rating but I genuinely enjoyed it. I have seen worse.

How could Ridley Scott miss this movie with such a huge cast, story and financial budget ?
Joel Edgerton is probably a good comedian but he's an obvious casting error. Replacing God with a kid will not be the best find of the movie.
Too bad.

That's a good price for such a recent big budget movie.

I actually felt somewhat of a connection to the movie in part.  Having lived alone for so long combined with working out of my home, there have been weeks where 4, 5 and sometimes 6 consecutive days I never see or even speak to another human being.  Plus the rare occasions when something beyond my control goes wrong and I am forced to deal with the problem.  Like a 2 day power failure in the wintertime, or when a tree fell across my driveway and I was blocked in.

After you watch it, tell me what you think, Thel.

We saw The Happytime Murders recently, I'm not sure I particularly liked it but it did have some funny moments. Basically, the stars of a 90s puppet TV show suddenly start being killed off and the puppet PI sent to investigate gets blamed. It's a bit like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" but with puppets rather than cartoons. The "puppet sex scene" actually worked quite in the context of other things that were going on at the time. The human contingent (Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolp and Elizabeth Banks) seemed to be bored the whole way through. 5/10

Not one of Woody Allen's best, but not bad either. 6/10

I only saw it once, years ago. Retrospectively, the casting is amazing. Very good movie.
