The very first Donington Monsters of Rock festival in 1980. Must’ve been a record company issue as to why Judas Priest didn’t end up on the album. They were 2nd on the bill.

100 % correct

... and here's some cool pics from the Festival !

The mailman (actually, a mail lady in her 60s) delivered a fucking treasure-trove of records to my home this morning. As I'm getting them sorted, I had to go ahead and drop one of them on the turntable. A critical gap in my Thin Lizzy collection is now filled, and 1978's Live and Dangerous is currently shaking the walls:

Here's a bonus live-action picture!

Next up - Feel the Fire. Another disk from the Crate-o-Vinyl (CoV) and an interesting release - a first pressing on the Noise label out of Germany, but in all other locales around the world it did not include the Dead Boys cover until it was reissued as a CD. Fantastic way to start a rainy Monday!

I was going to wait until I had ran through all of the new vinyl I received before I publicly thanked my benefactor. Just for dramatic effect. Then I realized that might take a year, so a big THANK YOU to Jack.

Mr. Stripper, with thoughtful consideration, no doubt considerable time and expense, gathered and sent to me a collection of records that is simply fantastic. During a pandemic, from half-way around the world no less! Thank you again Jack, I owe you a beer or twenty!

Well I’m glad you’re enjoying those vinyls Vyn, but only reciprocated the very thoughtful and generous gesture from your good self.

:thankyou:

Since the cat's outta the bag, so to speak, here's the remaining vinyl Jack sent to me. He included a couple of non-vinyl items as well, coming up next.

No sir. It is gatefold, has the original inner sleeve, no poster.
