Be sure to catch the prequel:

 :problem:

:D good one !! and great movie !
Love Tom Cruise as an actor despite his Shitty Scientology. In Fallout we see the destruction of Rome, Jerusalem and Mecca. He disturbs an Anglican pre-burial ceremony in a church. He also destroys Superman (Henry Cavill) after making him fall while being unconscious Surely not by chance.
3 movies are great , may be Fallout is my favourite .

This is one powerful film. Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger give magnificent performances and the film has a compelling story while also revealing the racism of the time. 8.5/10

The first 60 minutes had me entertained, but half way through the second 60 minutes I was antsy as hell. The story just sorts of falls apart at the end and is actually one of the most ridiculous conclusions I have ever seen. 6.5/10

This was OK I guess, it really did not offer much in the story department, but the songs sung by Elvis are catchy enough.
I would say that it is worth at least one viewing. 7/10

SAFE HOUSE

Ryan Reynolds plays a rookie CIA safe house manager in Capetown when he gets tasked a high value target protectee in the form of an ex CIA officer turned rogue operative Tobin Frost played by the brilliant Denzel Washington only to find out there's a mole inside the agency when the safe house is hit and people inside killed. He and Frost escape but nothing in the end is quite as it seems and in the end it is hard to know who to trust.

Reynolds and Washington play together quite well but they do not have quite the necessary ammount of chemistry together. The action is quite good at times but is diluted a bit by the pg-13 rating as well as the overly fast editing. The total lack of humor takes away some of Reynolds' best atributes and the lack of fierceness takes something away from Washington's too.

The supporting cast includes some great names like Robert Patrick, Sam Shepard, Liam Cunningham and Vera Farmiga but all are criminally under used. Only Brandon Gleeson gets the screentime he deserves but sadly his part is bit too obvious in the end.

The movie had great potential but it seems that director Daniel Espinosa wasn't quite up to the task and David Guggenheim's script didn't quite deliver. Maybe with some added humor and/or some more fierce action would have done the trick. As it is one star for Ryan, one for Denzel and only one for the story.

Saturday Night Sci-Fi

A farm boy happens upon a dragon's egg and then who cares?  The story is boring, the acting is over the top, and the dialogue is loaded with clichés.  I guess these film makers thought that if you have great looking graphics, then the rest can be crap.  But all you wind up with is great looking crap. 2/10

1917 directed by Sam Mendes

Incredible one-shot movie . 2 brit soldiers through enemy lines . Action located in  the North of France during the so-called Great War .
A Must.

We watched Say Anything over the weekend.

LOTS has changed since 1989, but that boom box scene is still a classic.

A masterpiece , plain and simple .
Sienna miller 's acting is stellar. This film gives me the great pleasure also to discover the sublime Christina Hendricks, a daydream for a man, my God.

No, no! I just wondered what the film was you were waxing lyrically about earlier!!

Having said that Ms Hendricks has a certain charm about her... slurp! Looking great for 45.

We saw "Song of the Sea" on Netflix. Wonderful animation of an intersection of Irish folk tales and modern situations. Delightful, beautiful escapist fun.
