I don't know what you guys are doing selecting 10 through 6, or what that even means and no one is explaining except for Charger, and as usual I have to keep asking and most won't answer anyways, so I'm posting my top 5 right off the bat.

1.) Heaven and Hell-The Devil You Know
2.) DIO-Killing The Dragon
3.) Black Sabbath-13 (Best Buy Exclusive)
4.) Bill Ward-Accountable Beasts
5.) Judas Priest-Firepower

Me and Jack are listing our favourite 20 albums from 20 to 1. But we are doing it 5 albums per day to give it a bit of suspense and intrigue. It isn't really necessary or for any particular reason other than because we can! ;)

Candlemass-The Door To Doom deserves to be on here one of the best albums to come out in the 2000’s.

And down to my top 5 albums from 2000-2019

5-1

5. Accept - Blood of the Nations
4. Motörhead - Inferno
3. Halford - Resurrection
2. W.A.S.P. - Dominator
1. Iron Maiden - Brave New World

Just a few things to add about my list. 10-20 could’ve been in any order and I agonised over the following albums

Candlemass - Candlemass
Kreator - Violent Revolution
Testament - The Formation of Damnation
Carcass - Surgical Steel
Rammstein - Mutter
High On Fire - Snakes for the Devine
Ghost - Opus Eponymous
Ratt - Infestation

Had them in, then out, then in and then finally out. In the end I went with albums I enjoyed and played a little more on release and continue to revisit just a little more than the 8 I had to leave out.

Decent album but I think Candlemass(2005) King of the Grey Islands & Death Magic Doom are great albums and much better than TDTD.

Very interesting lists KDC and Jack... I can see some albums that would be on my list too...

KDC I am rather surprised to see Framing Armageddon above The Glorious Burden though not to mention overall #2! I love that album too but I still think TGB is better.

Agreed... I'd also rank Psalms Of The Dead above The Door To Doom.

I might have them equal or maybe TDTD slightly in front. I could’ve had any of the three Candlemass albums I mentioned in my 20 to be honest. Very little between them but I probably rate great comeback albums after some lean years or disappointing releases just a little higher.

Let’s see your countdown Charger  :)

@Jack

I like Brave New World a lot, it would have been in my list if it was a Top 25. Those first three reunion albums have a lot of good songs on them, they also have too much "filler" in my mind! :)

@Charger

Do you have the European release of The Glorious Burden (1 disc) or the combined US/Euro release (2 disc)? I have the latter and what just drags the album down a notch is the inclusion of The Star Spangled Banner and When the Eagle Cries -- which are pants -- but they aren't on the European version of the release. If I only had the European release I'm not sure which of those albums I would have placed first. ;)

I've got the 2CD edition.

Honestly I love love love love love When The Eagle Cries...it's probably one of the most (if not THE most) emotional songs ever written.

Okay....

This was in no way an easy task... Everytime I was adding albums I had to cut some fantastic albums...that whole process made me sick to my stomach! :D

I tried to limit myself with 1 album per artist/band since otherwise the list might have been bit one dimensional. But I was forced to cheat on that rule once too...

I'm not going to explain these too much just do what you guys did and post the list...we can all talk about these later on then.

I'll follow KDC and Jack's leads and post 5 per day just to keep it interesting....plus that gives me time to alter the top end of the list if needed! ;D

Part I:

20. Down – II
19. Beyond Fear – Beyond Fear
18. Motörhead – Inferno
17. Megadeth – The World Needs A Hero
16. Hammerfall – Infected
