Obviously his voice is multi-tracked but there’s a lot of reverb and digitising going on also. It actually suits the song but other new song had it as well so it’s gonna be all over the album. He ain’t just singing into a mike and it’s multilayered several times...That’s obvious.

Just wish they'd give the guitars more room. It’s like, somebody shoot the keyboard player.

I totally get that. I was dumbstruck by Van Halen's "Jump" when all the synths opened up the song. I think they make sense here, but definitely in a prog rock sort of way. And, listening to prog definitely calls for the right frame of mind, or it's only so much instrumental noodling.
