I'm hoping for an even and exciting match. Would be great if the one team could get a goal in pretty early that would keep the game active and would push the other team on the offense...the last thing I want to see is a 0-0 or a big lead early on...

Quite a dramatic start to the match....which was something I had hoped actually...didn't expect it to come in the form of a penalty kick though...

Tottenham kept the ball but couldn't really get anything done...Liverpool played extremely well...Spurs need to change something if they want to score in the second half...cause this ain't working.

So it is half time and Liverpool are 1-0 up, but I think the goal came too early. I'm sorta hoping Spurs equalise so that Liverpool have to start playing again. Trouble is Spurs are playing okay until they get close to goal!

Well done Liverpool! Well deserved win after such a long wait and especially after the loss last year.

Tottenham never really got their game going...they had the ball and some good possiblities but just couldn't finalize the deal so to speak.

And Kane was such a disappointment really...I guess the long break showed.

Not a great game Jack for either team. I think experience told in the end, Liverpool have been here before and know how to get the job done, Spurs will  learn from the experience, and will be better for it.

Yeah experiance and class told. Was a frustrating 2nd half. In hindsight Harry Kane shouldn't have played or maybe just been used late, but that's a tough call to make. Proud of them though... They just weren't quite good enough in the end.

Anyone else following the Women's World Cup?

I've not been a big fan of women's football, they've shown the Women's FA Cup in the UK for maybe 15+ years and the games have been so boring I've not bothered to watch them for a while.

I caught a couple of early matches in the World Cup and was surprised as to how much the female game has improved in recent years... I still prefer the men's game! But I've watched a number of games now -- mainly the better teams -- and now we are down to the semi-finals: USA vs England today and Sweden vs Netherlands tomorrow.

No disrespect to tomorrows game but I think the USA / England game should have been the final, the two best teams in the competition and the 1st and 3rd ranked teams in the world too.

I lost interest once the Matildas got knocked out in the rd of 16. They under achieved in this World Cup. Not surprised though after the turmoil leading up when their long time coach was sacked a few months out for reasons that still remain a mystery.

Don't really care who wins now but given the USA have been the number 1 ranked team for awhile now I'd probably like to see them win it.

I've watched a few games here and there.

And I do have to say women's footsy level has increased a lot over the years. That being said I do wish that the referees would follow the same rules as in the mens games though...now they seem to whistle every single little contact...makes the game really annoying to follow with all those cuts.


After what the US team did with Thailand I have to say I lost all respect for them...the unsportmanship was totally out of control. Also seems that the captain Rapinoe is quite the attention seeker with all of those non-footsy related comments she's making...again not something that really belongs into footsy in my opinion.

I do wish England would wipe the floor with the US!
