There's rumours that Priest and Maiden would be up for a joint tour, at least Harris and Halford are saying that anyway.

Been bit misquoted on that actually.... Rob said that he'd LIKE to tour with Maiden one day again...nothing about plans to do so.

So for some reason they started running through the list one week early this month...which is little odd as it did leave the fans one week less time to vote than on all the other polls. One begins to wonder why...

I'm wondering if they want to wrap things up before Christmas, maybe?

Iron Maiden is a solid song but not close to a Top 10 in my mind. It suggests to me that the list will be mainly from the early albums.

I honestly expected IM to get higher even...I wouldn't call it their top 10 song either but like Jack said it is their signature song.

And these lists do seem to go with the more popular/mainstream songs anyways.

If it was die hard Maiden voters SSOSS wouldn't be a surprise but in context of where the votes are coming from it is.

Never been much a fan of the song myself, I think it's ok but Bruce over sings the chorus and it reeks a bit of trying to be another Rime of the Ancent Mariner. The album itself is good but my least favourite of the first seven.

I agree with you Jack there...although I do think it's the best song on the album though...the instrumental part is quite good actually...much less repetetive as the later years long songs.

My least favourite of the first 7 would be Killers but 7th Son would be next. Never understood the hype of that one either.
