#1 will be Fear Of The Dark of that I am rather certain...might be Hallowed too but I'm guess Fear.

I might need to do two lists here...my personal top 10 and then the one that will be voted.

Then I could imagine one bit of an odd one (for some atleast) I personally would love to see a Blaze era track there, Clansman or Man On The Edge as that era really has gotten much more love again finally. But might also be something like Phantom Of The Opera or Rime Of The Ancient Mariner but I kind of doubt it though...Running Free might be the missing one...



Then MY list...now this is hard and frankly might look very different again tomorrow.

Pretty much all in the list between 10 and 2 could change places and frankly could be replaced with the likes of The Educated Fool, Judgement Of Heaven, Dream Of Mirrors, Alexander The Great and maybe even 2 Minutes To Midnight which suffers a lot from being overplayed to death though...same with Hallowed Be Thy Name. But THE CLANSMAN will always be the absolute number 1! That'll never change, that is THE PERFECT song in every goddamn way.

My faves center around the first 3 albums with Bruce Dickinson, but I do enjoy Fear of the Dark, Out of the Silent Planet, and Can I Play with Madness.

I like Chargers first list. Not necessarily my personal favourite list but the songs that will make the 10 based on being the most mainstream recognised and commercially successful. I'd probably throw in Can I Play With Madness though. Can't stand that song myself.

Wow...we agree on something Jack! I left out Can I Play With Madness eventhough it might very well make it on the list just because I dislike it so much...It's probably the most commercial pop song maiden has ever done.

^^Dont mind it musically, I really dig Nicko's playing on the song and Dave, Adrian & Steve deliver but the chorus is about as lame as Maiden have got.

So I've gone with a My Top 10 from the early albums (upto Somewhere in Time) and a My Top 10 from the later albums (A Brave New World and beyond). While the ones between have their moments they're not really up to par.

While Fear of the Dark is perfectly fine, easily the best track off that album, it's a little uninspired to my ears. Having said that it gets a lot of outings on Planet Rock.

Well keep in mind that on that 500 best rock songs list Fear Of The Dark was #6 and the highest Maiden song so based on that it will be #1 here too.

I like Fear of the Dark but it wouldn't be in my personal top 10 favourites however in a live setting I think it's one of Maidens best. Im talking, witnessing it live.

I find it near impossible to do a personal favourites top 10 for Maiden.
