Anything starring Kevin Costner makes me want to take a nap.

And that Finnish tree-climber has obviously had the Frankenstein treatment at some point. Monsters are fearless.

Thought for the Day:

When in doubt, whip it out.

Yeah, but the judge didn't seem to agree! ;)

haha, but in defense of the Day's thought, it says nothing about possible repercussions for whipping it out :)

I got me a rock and roll band.

It's a free for all.

***

Speaking of movies that baffle me as to how they got so heavily touted... The English Patient and There Will Be Blood come to mind...

... and now I want them out of my mind. I think I'll go watch Der Untergang...

It’s not a bad movie or anything but do you think there is anyone out there during this self-Isolation period going  “Might give Dances With Wolves another watch” ?

How that movie cleaned up at the Academy awards ahead of Goodfellas will always be mind fuckingly bewildering!

That is quite true. But truth be told Dances With Wolves is more "oscar material" anyways than Goodfellas.

I've seen Dances with Wolves once and Goodfellas 3 times...and honestly if I'd have to choose now which one to watch...it wouldn't even be a moments thought before Goodfellas dvd would go into the player.
Ive lost count the number of times I’ve watched it but it is one of my favourite movies and I kinda get what what you’re saying in Wolves being more Oscar material but only in terms of the way the Academy works. It was an apology vote for the treatment of native Americans on the big screen in Hollywood for generations.

I've been in a less-than-good mood for most of the day. It all started with a coworker (we're all remote now) sending an email to the entire company with the subject line: "Have a Blessed Easter". OK. That didn't bug me, I appreciate positive thoughts regardless of any faith attachment. I was expecting a picture of Jesus, or an empty tomb, or a fucking rabbit carrying a cross. But then I open the email and it's just a joke about how German's like to eat sausage. What?

I mean, what the fuck was going through that broad's head when she did that? Alcohol? Wind?

What a jacked-up way to represent yourself to the entire company.

I need to go eat a Mars Bar and lay down.

JERRY: I think he converted to Judaism for the jokes!

ELAINE: And this offends you because you're a Jew?

JERRY: No, it offends me because I'm a comedian!

Gotta love Seinfeld! Still one of the best sitcoms ever with Two And A Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.

Modern Family is awesome but I don't count it as a sitcom as it doesn't feature a live audience.

BBT didn't hold my interest for the last few seasons, but Black Adder and Porridge are incredible.

Which reminds me, I also love Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister

Seinfeld and Married with Children are my all time favourites. I lost interest in The Big Bang Theory the last few years of its run, enjoyed it before that. Use to like Family Ties, Cheers, and Bob Newhart as a kid

WKRP in Cincinnati -  My all-time favorite TV series overall.

Fawlty Towers - love it. The only TV series I have ever bought on DVD, because I can watch it repeatedly.

Red Dwarf - Some of the episodes are among my favorites across genres, but in totality I can't give it a place on my list where I wish it was.

Star Trek - Holy cow I wanted to fly around with Captain Kirk and Co.

All in the Family - fantastic until Edith died.

Love, American Style - Suffered from Red Dwarf Syndrome (or maybe it was the other way around since this is older).

Happy Days - The only good parts of Happy Days were when the Fonz would go "Ayyyyyy".

Chico and the Man - Funny as all get out. I stopped watching it after Freddie Prinz left. So to me it wasn't on long enough to jump the shark. See what I did there?

M.A.S.H. - The only one worth anything was the movie.

Family - I HATED that show. I'm still scarred from the few episodes I watched. Ruined me for any serialized drama.

Dark Shadows - Loved it. This was before my relationship with Buddy and her shit-ass Family.

There are a few more I watched, and my wife keeps the TV series flame alive so I've seen a few episodes of this or that. But nothing that grabs my interest.
