I've got the depressions and anxieties, as well, and the truth is that there are ways to deal with them. There's always hope.

Therefore, I can wish a happy new year to us all, and feel good about it.

I know it is tough looking at the bright spots in one's life. I have depression and anxiety as well as being a diabetic. At 49 I feel more like 79. I have many other issues with my diabetes, to which I won't get into. 2018 was a bad year. My son has been hurt, my mother-in-law had a stroke, which I feel I am not far behind, and as always money was an issue. So for me I am looking for a better year. I have to look at it as everyday I get another chance to wake up and see the sun rise. To kiss my wife. To hug my son. I am lucky in that I do have family, friends and loved ones to help me. To all those who are down at this time of year, hang in there and remember life ain't always beautiful, but at least everyday you can make it what you want. Weather listening to some great music like Black Sabbath, or watching a great movie or whatever it is that makes you happy.

So may wonderful times be ahead of all of us here at the Community!!

Thanks for sharing Discman, there is always hope, a light at the end of the tunnel.

I hate it when these young kids commit suicide, so young and they end it, so many cases nowadays, it breaks my heart.

Yes it is, support is the best thing we can do for another human being, it saves lives.

Part of my dealing with depression was learning to see suffering as a positive experience, in that through it I am still participating in the overall pageant of life.
