Tony Iommi interview.
« on: April 22, 2018, 06:02:54 AM »
Here's a great interview with Tony again...

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/tony-iommi-its-highly-unlikely-black-sabbath-will-play-again/

Asked if BLACK SABBATH will ever play again after completing its "The End" tour last year, Iommi said: "It's highly unlikely, but we may."

A very diplomatic way of saying...well..nothing. :D

I'm still rather certain they'll do a one off show for the 50th anniversary of the first album....

sure .
Tommy Clufetos behind the kit garanteed.
Preceded by a DELUXE-Deluxe extended super limited embossed edition double gatefold with some rare outtakes studio demos and an exclusive interview of the legendary witch of the cover.
All of this followed by another essential dvd , of course.
Can't wait (sarcasm)

A diplomatic way of saying "we're not not gonna do anything".

I'd be more surprised if they don't do anything for the 50th...

I think Tony would like to do one off things with the other guys (even recording), but he obviously isn't on the same page with Ozzy and Geezer, as they were pretty clear in stating, that Sabbath for them was completely done.

I could easily imagine this to be true. Tony has lived and breathed Sabbath continuously for 50 years now...I'm sure he'd like to continue somehow. Geezer and Ozzy have come and gone how they've pleased over the years so they don't necessary have that deep connection.

I just hope Tony would get those TM-era albums out now...

Another interview with Tony...

https://www.list.co.uk/article/104097-tony-iommi-its-unbelievable-when-you-look-back-from-being-told-youre-never-going-to-play-again-to-inventing-a-new-sort-of-music/

This was the part that got me all excited:
Quote from: Tony Iommi
At the moment, I'm in the process of remixing [Black Sabbath's 1995] Forbidden with Tony Martin [vocals], Cozy Powell [drums] and Neil Murray [bass]. That's an album I've never been satisfied with so I'm about to start pulling that apart and remix it.

Great news. Hopefully it's the start of the Martin era reissues. I never really minded the sound of Forbidden's rough mix, but I'll be keen to hear what Tony does with it.

Another newish Tony Iommi interview. Talking about the early years, The End of The End and other stuff including possible new album being recordered in the winter. A lot of good lighthearted stuff that we've heard before but always fun hearing again.

You're right Jack, took me 2 nights but I listened to the whole thing and quite enjoyed it. I knew Bill had a heart attack somewhere during the 13 debacle, but according to Tony Bill had his heart attack during rehearsals for 13. Were you aware of that Jack?

I thought he was referring to the heart attack Bill had in rehearsals back in the late 90's and they had to take Vinny out on the road as a back up.
