I gotta watch that...Bulleit is one of my favourites!

But cheap bourbons??

Here's what they cost here (0.7 liter bottles):

Jack Daniels: 35.99€ (43$)

Jim Beam: 27.49€ (33$)

Bulleit: 38.99€ (46$)

Maker's Mark: 39.99€ (48$)

So no...not cheap...
Which is why I buy all my booze from Germany where Jack only costs around 20€ a bottle..

Those look like double the US prices... wow...

And it looks like Bulleit is actually considered to be a top-shelf, according to this website:

Well that looks like a list I need to go through... Only had Bulleit and Blanton's out of those...and yes Bulleit is usually considered bit more of a top shelf stuff atleast far as big batch bourbons are considered.

Granted that Pappy Van Winkle although having been my dream to taste for years and years is bit out of my range with it's 2390€ price tag...

In fact inspired by that list...I was just about to make an order this week and I'll add that Basil Hayden to the list...it's not that expensive in germany only 47.50€. yup. I'll be having that.

Here's a guy I like to follow, doing a review of 7 cheap bourbons. He also demonstrates progressive inebriation as he does so.

Man that was funny!

Also my ranking wouldn't differ too much...Never had Old Forester though...but all the others yes.

My ranking would be:
Bulleit
Maker's
Jack
Jim
Turkey
Evan

Best part is when he has to figure out the top three when he's already trashed. He's got another one where he's tasting Mountain Dew and gets so hopped up on sugar and caffeine by the end, just as funny as this.

**REVIEW WARNING**

Sorry but for this one I do have to write a bit of a review eventhough I promised I never would just because...well this is such an odd ball one.
Please forgive me. This will be the last one I swear!

This time we have Pale Ale from Thrownbridge Brewery in Derbyshire England called Satzuma.
This slightly murky yellow colored ale has a strong taste of citrus, coming naturally from the peel of it's namesake fruit of the mandarin family as well as a rather hoppy finish.

A rather peculiar beer this one. It's not quite as insanely horrid as let's say Two Dogs which is like someone took some bad lemonade and poured it into a glass half full of stale beer but it is a bit of a bastard child of cider and beer anyways. Luckily though the after taste has more beer in it than lemonade. Probably due to the fact that only the peel of the mandarin fruit was used.
But I don't really know if I can recommend this to any decent beer fan though. However if you like the odd or you want to impress and/or shock your IPA loving hipster friends this might be worth a try.

But if you are like me and have no (hipster) friends and like your beer dark and tasting good you might want to pass this one up.

What's the time offset for Finland? Is it the CET or are you on Russia time?
