Atlantic hurricane season so far this year has been just fish storms. I'm quite OK with that!

We had a little "false fall", then it got warm again, now it's getting towards a little less hot with a little more chance of rain.

Of course, all temperature ratings are relative. For Texas in mid-September, 91F/33C is "nice weather, not too hot."

Well the autumn rains arrived...4 consecutive day of rain now. Temp is still pretty nice though...about 15C which is about normal for this time of the year.

That is "winter" in Texas, what you're describing.

Well it's been 13 consecutive days of rain now here!

Not rain all the time obviously but for 13 days straight it has rained, which is quite a long period for these parts!

Now finally it might be that it will NOT rain tomorrow!

Now if it would just stay dry for few days I could mow the lawn for one last time...

Nope...it rained again today...so that makes it 14 days straight.

Now the sun is shining though...temps around 15C (60F) which is okay...but the wind from the north is COLD!

There's an outside chance that two active hurricanes will be active at the same time in the Atlantic in a way that will get them to rotate around a common center, which would be a big issue for the US East Coast.

Had to turn on some heat this morning for the first time this season, as it was a little too chilly in the castle.  Temps dipped down into the 40's last night.  This weekend is suppose to warm right back up, though.

Turning on heat? In OCTOBER? Oh wait, that's right, you're up north from where I'm at.

How are the leaves in your (literal) neck of the woods, Typhon? Getting those fall colors is something we do lack in Texas, as most of our trees just go brown or have a non-vibrant red or yellow.

I too had to turn on the heating in the house couple of nights ago as temps fell below freezing for two nights! Did cover up my pumpkins though so they survived the cold!

How are the leaves in your (literal) neck of the woods, Typhon? Getting those fall colors is something we do lack in Texas, as most of our trees just go brown or have a non-vibrant red or yellow.

Not many fall colors yet, but these shots from years past show the view I get.
