Well summer finally came.

It's 30C (85F) now and sunny! Bit too warm for my liking but considering the cold we've had so far I'll take it.

Now that sounds pleasant. 
Around here we're getting roughly the same temperature.  However, the humidity has shot way up.  It's what folks describe as "steamy".  Still, fine with me.

We'll find out if the heat dome can form over Texas and get Summer going, or if a tropical depression/storm messes things up and keeps rain in the forecast over the state.

Had a bit of thunder last night...wasn't close or anything.

And speaking of humidity. Last two nights we've had 98%! That's pretty high for these parts..especially during "tropical nights"!

Normally I would agree with Thel here but since the past two months have been so cold and rainy (almost like fall weather actually) I'm okay with a little summer even if it is bit too hot for my liking!

"Waiting for fall to start" - in Texas, that means looking forward to mid-to-late-October. 90 days to go for me, I'm just glad we've been in the mid-90s for most of our hottest days so far this year. We'll be tracking towards 100 by the end of the week.

Beautiful sunny day, high humidity, temperature 89^oF (31C). 
I'm adding a couple of gallons of water to my fountain sense it is getting low.
Also a gallon to the bird bath.



Complete downpour, sun has vanished, temperature now 79^oF and dropping.
Well, that's New England weather for you.

Still warm and sunny here! 27C (80F) which is okay. I wouldn't mind an afternoon rain shower though...but we're not getting that in a few days.

On the coast of Texas, near Corpus Christi. It's warm, windy, humid, and salty. I love that combination, even if it steams up my glasses when I step out into it.

Yesterday I had to close my windows because of a smoky smell.  I thought one of my neighbors had a fire pit going.  It turns out that some smoke from out-of-control wildfires up in Canada had blown down into the states.  Come on Thel, get that government of yours to get these things under control!

In San Antonio for a conference. Sunday was a scorcher, Monday was hot but nice. Today is a repeat of Monday.

And I like my days smoke-free for sure! In May, we can get Mexican smoke from the brush-clearing fires that blow up this way.

Well the heatwave is over here. No more +20C (70F) temps probably this year. Bit of rain today...sadly no thunder. And the cold front pushed the warm air to the east.
