False spring is over here for a few weeks, normal winter gray starting today.

Rainy and cold yesterday, rainy and cold then snowy and cold today. Nothing accumulating, but somehow the gloom is what I imagine Norway to be like.

Pretty warm day today...with temp above +5C (40F)

Now they are saying though that the polar vortex might be dying out for this winter which will mean a serious temperature drop in these parts...not looking forward to that...at all.

We may be getting through February and early March with only a few more freezes, but the specter or another drought this summer hangs over us.

Well so much for the warmth then...a massive blizzard is expected to hit tonight...some parts might get 10 inches of snow! Thankfully here it should be around 5 inches...but I was already gearing up for spring so the last thing I need is more of this white shit!

Just had a mini heat wave here with consecutive days in the mid and high 30’s. The last few years summers haven’t been as hot as previous years and when we do get a run of hot days we seem to be getting more humidity down south akin to NSW and QLD weather as apposed to the really dry heat we’ve always had.

Cold, had some ice and snow yesterday that snarled traffic but it's gone from the streets now. They're calling for highs in the upper 50's and sunny for the next several days - looking forward to that!

At least Australia is heading into footy weather! It's refreshing to watch chilly Australians in the middle of the Texas heat, reminds me that the cycle of seasons will continue as expected.

So we ended up getting 7 inches of snow...shit.

That's a significant amount of snow! Somehow, I've always thought of Finland as being covered in snow all the time. I think that's because I've never been there and the pictures I've seen of places in Finland had snow on the ground.

We ended up getting almost 2 more inches today! Sucky.

Finland is a long country...the northern part (Lapland) is usually very covered in snow from november to april.....but the south part is a whole different story!

This week has been almost spring like but that's about to end next week when the cold front from the dissipated Polar Vortex hits...temps go below -10C (14F) and maybe colder even...
