Just read an article on the heat wave in Northern Greenland, which is normally below freezing year-round. It's right now at 16C / 60F. That is bad news for the folks down in the Maldives and other inhabited areas close to sea level. That list includes New York City, Miami, Shanghai, and almost all of Bangladesh...

Lots of rain here again yesterday and today...but the temp hasn't gone down as much though which is nice. Warm rainy days I enjoy the most.

Going to Virginia next week, which is forecast to have warm and rainy for the whole week.

Very dry summer here in Southeastern Mass.  Hardly a drop of rain for the last month.  Fortunately I don't have a lawn to maintain.

The summer continues to be hot and dry. Not stupid hot like it was a couple of weeks ago... mid-high 20s for much of last week, with high 20s-low 30s next week. No forecast for any rain in the near future and some parts are introducing a ban on certain uses of water (washing cars, using hosepipes, swimming pools etc).

Thunderstorms in DC pushed my flight departure by 3.5 hours, from 7PM to 10:30PM.

It's like all the rain in the USA is going across the middle of the country, nowhere else.

Bit rainy and windy for the past few days...now it's sunny again with temp just around the 70F mark....pretty normal for this time of year...

Might get rain in Dallas this week and possibly a break in the 100-degree temps... highs at 99/98/97 through to the end of the week.

Was 98 F here yesterday, heat index was 110 F.

Today it got up to 80 F. No heat index. And it rained off and on throughout the day.

I'm heading from DFW in the 96-105 range and slim-to-none rain chances to DC in the 85-95 range and buckets of the stuff on tap.

I remember about 30 years ago a friend of mine got a business trip to Florida around Feb/Mar. Whilst there his boss called and said it would be good to call in at another customers office in Milwaukee... he said NO! he had packed for Florida, he would freeze in Milwaukee at that time of year!
