Well weather's doing a bit of a 180 again.... temps going down to below 20C (70F) and nights dropping to around 10C (50F) which is pretty cold for the season...

But hey that's the finnish summer...it's mostly one of low snowfall...

High today will be 39C.

Temps expected to hit 35C+ at the weekend and it is thought that the record for the UK (38.7C in July 2019) could be beaten.

And that is so rough, given the lack of AC in UK.

Here in Texas, we're on a streak of 7 days so far with highs over 100F, and at least the next 8 days forecasted to be above 100F for the high. All these highs are flirting with 40C. We've had 15 days so far over 100 this year, so it's mid-July and already set to make a run for the record books. If it does that, I expect some severe drought conditions to emerge. I don't like it when tree leaves turn straw-colored...

A lack od AC has never been an issue in the past as a good hot summer rarely spent more than the odd day in the 30s. I think with global warming we can "enjoy" new record highs every other year! I think AC in new builds will become more common, and those with a bit of spare cash might be looking for ways to add it to existing buildings.

Well summer turned to autumn here now...rainy weather for the past few days and few days to come and temp's around 17C (60F)...

Well, we had rain today, so we break the streak of 100F days, thank goodness.

I'm also cooling the house way down at night - it's chilly in the morning, but the house does not get that hot during the day and the AC barely runs. Got the idea from friends in Arizona.

There is now a Red Weather Warning for parts of England for Monday and Tuesday, the rest of England and Wales have an Amber Weather Warning. There have been Red Weather Warnings before but for bad weather not Hot weather. They think temperatures will hit 39C on Monday and 40C on Tuesday. It will not drop below about 25C overnight.

I'm not in the Red Warning area but will be in the amber so I guess mid-30s are likely!.

Wow...that's pretty warm...not very common temps in the UK...

We are still firmly in fall temps here...14C (57F) here now...and there is no real warming to be seen in the near future either...

Should be another sub-100F day in DFW today, very happy for that. Houston area, though, had some rolling blackouts yesterday, not at all good for them.

100 F today, feels like 110. Sunny and hot!

Just scraped 100 yesterday here in Dallas, but we have some tomatoes that weathered the heat that we want to bring indoors to ripen so the critters don't get into them.

This morning dawned with 78 F and 96% humidity. It's hazy and promises to be a sweltering day.
