Nice today, 1-3" of snow starting after midnight. Good thing I packed my cold weather gear!

Two solid days of rain now...I like rain but it's been bit tiresome now with the constant rain for the past month.

But hey things could be worse...it could have been snow! Which would have meant we'd have more than 5 feet of snow now!

Cloudy today, rain later tonight and tomorrow morning, when I fly back to Dalals.

Haven't seen Jack around in a few days...hope he hasn't melted away yet!

Suppose to stay below freezing for the next 2 days.  Although there will be no precipitation, this is the type of weather I hate.

Quite a strom out there now....

Just took a small walk on the yard and it's filled with tree debris already and we're only half way through the storm...no actual damage yet as far as I could tell in the dark but it's still early...

Haven't had a storm like this in a while.

I suspect that's the same storm that we are in the tail end of, it seemed to be heading off in your direction. They've said it's the worst storm here in 7 or 8 years, lots of disruption to transport (but this is the UK so it doesn't take much!) and the Manchester City v West Ham match was called off!!

Quite a night. As I was working all night too it was interesting to follow the storm. The gusts weren't quite as strong as on some past storms but the sustained winds were very high.

There was a shitload of tree debris everywhere but thankfully that was about it...no big damage around these parts.

It's still quite windy out there which is bit abnormal. Usually as the storm passes winds die down fast...now it's still blowing strong...

We had a bunch of snow yesterday, but the temperature was about 34 (1 C) all day and it was mostly just a sloppy mess.

A cold front rolled in over night, it is 4 (-15 C) right now, with some moderate wind giving us a wind chill of -18 (-27 C) and all that slush that accumulated is now hard has a brick. The roads are an ice rink.

Hardly any snow thus far in 2020.  Temperature has gone above freezing mark nearly everyday.  Pretty unusual around here for January and February.

Not much snow here either...the last time it's been this snowless was in the 70s...Another one like this was also in 2007. But that only lasted a better part of january now we're already in feb...

Most likely there will be no winter at all in south west Finland this year...and funnily just 500 miles north there's more than 2 feet of snow! In areas record breaking snowfall so...

This weekend we have Storm Dennis hitting the UK (it might be heading off to Chargers realm shortly after!!), I believe the winds won't be quite as strong as last weekend but there will be a lot more rain!

Indeed... The forecast says it'll hit here on Sunday night.

Yeah both wind and rainfall isn't expected to be quite as heavy as last week's one but still a proper storm.

Luckily I don't have to work that night so I can just sit and have a drink and watch it blow.

The bomb cyclone over Europe made the news here... major flooding in the UK.
