Fun fact: the arctic regions' heating up means there's more cold stuff to push down on the temperate zones, making for more extreme winters. I'm just glad that Texas has so far dodged any nasty winter stuff so far. We're having plenty of cold, but the usual stretch of of about 6-7 days with really nice weather in January hasn't happened this year, and it doesn't look likely.

So far we have had a super mild winter. No snow and only going as low as 0 degrees Celsius. This has been the warmest winter that I have experienced on the Island and is admittedly one of the reasons I love where I live. After living in Hawaii for a year I began to hate snow, and I still have a disdain for it even now.

Not gonna lie, it's cold out there. And in here, as well. My office is far from the central thermostat, so its temp. varies more than the middle of the house.

I can't compete with Charger, but last night's low was +4^oF (-15^oC).  Tonight is suppose to be the same.  No snow to speak of this winter so far, though.

Well it was -27C (-17F) this morning...THAT IS COLD!

Man I hate winter...stupid polar vortex too can suck my ice cold...door handle.

Another 40 degree day here in Melbourne today with an uncomfortable night ahead with the overnight temperature tipped not to drop below 30c before picking up again tomorrow with the mercury set to hit a scorching 45c tomorrow

That is absolutely crazy temps....

In the meanwhile here we got yet another inch of snow...how bloody lovely. Yesterday was another inch...but temp was around -1C (30F)...but today it dropped a bit again showing -6C now...and on sunday we're going back down to -25C....

Stupid winter.

It is so odd that the temperature so far this year has not gone below 0 degrees Celsius!!!
I do not know if it is Global Warming or just one of those freaks of nature things. The Cherry Blossoms are starting to bud and so are some of the other trees. Winter is almost over and even the rain has been mild compared to previous years and it has not snowed once either.

I do not know if it is Global Warming or just one of those freaks of nature things. The Cherry Blossoms are starting to bud and so are some of the other trees. Winter is almost over and even the rain has been mild compared to previous years and it has not snowed once either.

It's the Polar Vortex. It slipped on this side which means very cold weather for northern Europe and warmer weather to Canada. And El Nino is pushing warmer weather up the coast that way too so it's a double effect really.

In northern Finland this winter's cold record was just set at -37.8C which you can just pretty convert straight to F...

Now here it's actually quite warm -3.5C (25F) but it is snowing...AGAIN!

I see - fascinating, and I should mention that in my particular part of Canada winters are usually mild. They do have days that are below 0 Celsius though in all the winters I have lived here. That would be 18 years now.
