I actually live in the south west...pretty near the city of Turku.

But we still do get mosquitoes here...but thankfully just average size...but they still suck the life out of ya.

Hmm... It was something about when we were talking about the Siberian cold front earlier in this thread that made me believe you lived further north. Don't know why, and i don't bother going back checking. Couldn't be more opposite...

So, getting off topic for a bit now, because i'm just being too damn curious. Do you also speak Swedish (which i understand is more common in the south than the north), or are you one of those strongly opposed (which is highly understandable, i don't like Norwegian dialects that's been too Danified myself), as you call it Turku instead of Åbo? You know i'm a history geek, that's why i'm curious...

Well, you can't do anything about history, only the future. Being bilingual is a good thing, but one must adhere to ones native tounge first & foremost, so; Jeg støtter dere fullt ut i deres kamp for eget språk.

Rain's not good for the Walking Dead...It's probably only rained once or twice on that show....usually just sunny and hot.


Still warm here...it's 10:30am and temp's already at 23C (73F)...this is one of the warmest May's in a long time...but after one of the coldest March's and April's it's a welcome change...but could be bit less warm too though...

Oh well don't have to run so hard to get a sweat...which is nice....off to my morning run now.

The thermostat in my room started beeping around 11 PM and kept going until maybe 1:30 AM. Then it shut down. The desk clerk said that they couldn't do anything about it until the morning.

My sleep was off a bit, to say the least.

It's fixed. Slept fine the last 2 nights.

And now there's a tropical depression moving up towards Atlanta. I hope I can fly out of here before it turns into a named tropical storm and starts wrecking the air travel schedule.

We've been having 80Fs for a while now...and virtually no rain in the past 3 weeks...everything is so dry I think one could start a fire just by giving an evil stare...it's crazy.

Been the hottest May in history here...and next week we might actually pass 30C (85F) again...crazy.
