Insanely cold today! Northern winds blowing and temp just hanging above freezing...Not really April weather this!

Nice sunny day... so the fire danger is approaching extreme levels in most of Texas.

Still the unseasonably cold weather continues! Right now we're about 5-10 degrees colder than what is normal for this time of year. Nights have been waaay below freezing.

And it looks like it will carry on to next week too.

But that was to be expected after a warm winter. It always levels itself out at some point. I'm expecting this summer to be a cool one...if it ever comes.

Been pretty normal around here so far, except that the swings in the weather have been more extreme and noticable than in the past.

My new TFA Pro weather station arrived today!





My old one has been out of commission for quite few years now so finally it was time to get a new one.

This wasn't the top of the line model but it's got pretty decent features... Automatic Rainfall, Wind (speed+direction), moisture, pressure, temp...the usuals.

This was one of the few budget models that had a seperate rain gauge which was a must as it gets clogged quite easily and often from leaves and what not.

We are in the midst of an unusually hot spell which should head into next wee. Typical temps this time of year are 15-17C we should be hitting 27-28C at times in the next week.

It's been slightly cool lately, maybe five degrees off what it should be. And have been receiving a lot of "spring showers". So everything that is flora is growing out of control

We had DVD-diameter hail in Texas the other day. Glad it was way off to the west.

Got the station all put up last week! Seems to be working.


As far as the weather itself goes.... COLD! We're still almost 10 degrees colder that it should be...temps just hovering around 5C (40F) and nights are below freezing! And it's MAY for heaven's sake and we're end of march temps...

I sowed some new lawn two weeks ago and not a single seed has germinated...messed up.

Lots of cold rain here in Texas, as well. Luckily, we've avoided getting big hail and tornadoes in Dallas.

Spring has been a bit cooler than usual but it has been sunny most days
I am enjoying this as I am not much of a fan of hot weather and summer is my least favorite season 🙃

I'ts been a LOT cooler here! As we've been barely at 5C on days and -3-5C at nights...crazy! I don't actually remember a beginning of May this cold.

The only positive side of that is that pollen season hasn't really started yet so I can still breath through the nose!

I'm not a fan of heat waves either...Above 20C begins to be too hot for me...

Charger I'll give you about 7-8C so we have a more normal spring! We've been well into the 20s for ages... and next to no rain either!

Going to hit 100+ F possibly in Dallas on Wednesday. If so, it'll be the 7th earliest 100+ day since recordkeeping started in 1899. Also if so, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN, that's hot! 38C for those of you using communist systems of measurement. That's what the C is for, right?

First bit warmer day today! Around 15Communists! Which is quite the improvement.

Got some yard work done too...adding some new flowerbeds and fixing a few....
