I found some second hand cds! Especially happy about the Limited Edition Solitude Aeturnus' Through The Darkest Hour Digipak from 2008 #0778/2000

Well...

Hell, Fire and Damnation got me to get
Call to Arms which got me to get
Carpe Diem which got me to get (after plowing through a lot of mediocre metal from a 10-year period in which Saxon flat out wimped out...)
Unleash the Beast

February is officially Saxon Month for me! I will likely get more...

And now I got Saxon's Sacrifice. Into the Labyrinth from Saxon is imminent, due to the strength of "Demon Sweeney Todd". If the rest of the album has a few more bangers like that, I'mma gettin' it.

EDIT: Valley of the Kings just happened, getting Into the Labyrinth NOW!  :wootwoot:

That's where you start. For the later stuff, Unleash the Beast is a great place to begin, as it nicely book-ends the whole of the Scarratt era with the latest album.

In the last week or two I've acquired a few albums...

Marillion - An Hour Before Dark
Ashes of Ares - Emperors and Fools (quite a bland metal album on first listen)

and arrived today:

Bruce Dickinson - The Mandrake Prioject

After being stuck in the customs for a week because of the total incompetence of finnish postal service the new BLAZE BAYLEY album package finally is here!

Quite a nice birthday present to myself if I do say so myself!

Bandcamp run!

Nice and juicy hard rock / metal / punk / action rock set there. All of it tasty enough on the free play-through to justify a timely purchase.

At the same time, I made a run of a different sort over at Amazon, as I wanted to bolster my supply of 19th-Century Romantic compositions...

Works from The Russian Five in there, along with Smetana and Strauss.
