Great, i'll take on you too along with Charger, as well as everybody else. Bring it on!  8)
Does it really matter if we disagree, though, as long as we disagree like grown-ups? :)

Yeah but your opinion is wrong and doesn't matter cause I know better than anyone else!

God bless.

Ok, then...  :-[ :boohoo:

 :PI'm gonna  here, now...

Now to be serious, again.

I came into Iron Maiden basically having heard nothing, so I started fresh in the Di'anno-Dickinson debate.

To me, Di'anno's work did not sound better. His vocals didn't do it for me. Dickinson's I liked a lot. When Dickinson did material from the first two albums, I liked his versions better than Di'anno's.

Well, it's a matter of difference in taste. The vocal style of the likes of Dickinson, Dio and a whole bunch of others doesn't have anything to do with Rock to me. The only ones who have managed to pull that theatrical thing off and still sound like they actually got some balls are Freddie Mercury and Rob Halford. Just saying... :)

Well in all honesty Maiden has nothing to do with rock anyways. The genre is called Heavy Metal and in that genre singing abilities actually matter. ;)

Maiden was from the start too techincal band for a singer like DiAnno who was clearly more of a Punk guy anyways...

Bingo. That's what I wanted to say.

And, yes, this gets back to fundamentals. If Dio and Dickinson are on one side, Billy is going to immediately consider what the singers available on the other side are like. Matter of taste.

Myself, I don't get into overly operatic sounds. There's one metal band in Italy whose singer really does do operatic vocals and it's... just... not what I was looking for.

It's not that i don't like singers that are technically good. Mike Patton is a good example. Axl Rose (i know, mixed opinions), Greg Lake, McCartney, Rob & Freddie ofcourse. But now it's getting way too off topic here. Maiden on.

Emotion, man. That's what it's about!

(I actually stole Clive Burrs bass-drum beats from this when doing a rock cover of Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time once... :) )

Where Eagles Dare is another welcome addition.

Four songs in total from Piece of Mind is also quite welcome. Also two Blaze era tracks in The Clansman & Sign of the Cross... Charger, you'd be happy with that?

No. I really have very little interest in Maiden anymore....

This set list is maybe bit better than I thought but still too many of the same songs yet again...also the band has lost nearly all of their energy...Janick seems to be the only one who even moves on stage anymore... :(

Very stale and uninspired preformances...been like that since the Matter of life and death tour...
