Not seeing Iron Maiden in Helsinki over the next 2 nights Charger?

No. I really have very little interest in Maiden anymore....

This set list is maybe bit better than I thought but still too many of the same songs yet again...also the band has lost nearly all of their energy...Janick seems to be the only one who even moves on stage anymore... :(

Very stale and uninspired preformances...been like that since the Matter of life and death tour...
Really? Bruce is as energetic as ever and continues to defy his age. Steve is always Steve, maybe doesn't run around as much as he once but still shows a lot of energy. Adrian & Dave have never been that big of movers in the last 20 years. Janick is as cringey as he's always been and Nicko is still as tight as ever as is the whole band.

There are certain bands I'll always go and see when they play in my city such is my love for them and knowing they always put on a great show. Iron Maiden is one of them.

From what I've seen Bruce pretty much just stands infront of his mic stand now...maybe not as still as Ozzy but far from the jumping jack he used to be...same with his vocals...he sounds quite tired and forced...

Maiden used to be a fantastic live band...now they're are just a shadow of their former selves...but ofcourse the difference is vast BECAUSE they were so crazy energetic back in the day...

Did you watch the videos TYR and I posted in this thread of the latest shows? Bruce is still a bundle of energy and and the entire band still sounds very tight.

Anyhow, if your prerequisite for attending concerts these days is based on the energy of the band, how tired the singer sounds and if they're playing too many of the same songs that would rule you out of ever going to see Deep Purple then :whistling:
And what about Slayer? Tom Araya just stands at the mike stand without so much as bobbing his head and looks like he's phoning it in the entire time so you gonna give them a miss as well?
You do realise these bands are are getting quite old and obviously can't be performing at the same energy levels they did in their 20's, 30's and 40's?

Ofcourse...didn't I just say that in my previous post?

My interest in Maiden diminished years ago really...the release of A Matter Of Life And Death was the beginning of the end for me. Sure Book Of Souls finally had some good moments again but even there were too many tired sounding over long songs.

I still love the old stuff and enjoy it a lot. But I have no reason to see them live now.

When the gramps with amps perform, it's more about the music and less about the leaping around onstage... that's how I enjoy them.

This is great. The musicianship in this song is phenomenal. One of Maidens best. Wish they’d bring it back live.

I guess as such it'll be fine...

But the truth is Maiden has released more live albums since the reunion than most bands in their entire careers! :D

The only one that had an even remotely interesting different setlist was during the Somewhere Back In Time but they seriously botched live album...that was horrible.

That's why I like live albums where there's something unique going on, like DP adding horns to their numbers in the Live at the Olympia set.

That's another problem with Maiden...they don't improv at all on stage. Their live versions pretty much all sound exactly the same which makes their live albums very samey.

With Purple no two concerts ever sound the same. There's always something new going on in every single track. That's why getting their live albums are far more interesting...that being said I really don't have too many of them either.
