Well some engine work coming up tomorrow before I'll tackle the springs.

Bought a new valve cover as I do believe the old one is cracked....a typical problem with these plastic ones... New one cost 200€ so it's not a crazy expensive fix. Also not a very big job. Should be done tomorrow. Only need to remove the fuel lines to the injectors and the eletrics for both injectors and coils...and open 32 (or so) bolts....Hopefully nothing's snagged and hopefully nothing breaks...

At the National Transportation Museum in St. Louis, we heard "Highway Star" as we walked in. Auspicious!

The car building included some EXCELLENT rides from the classic days of car making, including Bobby Darin's insanely tail-finned ride from 1960. I'll be back home on Friday and can work on uploading the pics then. These were some sweet, sweet, rides.

I bought a new polishing machine and tried it out on the car today!




I went through the whole car and it worked a treat! Even with a very basic cleaning wax... I have never been able to get the surface so smooth by hand so a well spent 149€ for that one!

Tomorrow another coat of polishing wax and the old boy should be presentable again.

About an hour or so...bit less with the machine and much easier on the arm!

Put another coat on today..just by hand...

It's always a great feeling waxing one's car...for a brief time it's almost like it is frictionless.just from the little bit your picture shows, your car is looking fantastic!

Indeed...and I have to say that machine made an even smoother surface than I ever could by hand!

Here's couple of shots after the second coat! I got a pretty decent shine....not perfect by any means but I'm happy with it!

Some final touch ups today...plus the oil change...and engine air filter and cabin air filters.

Also washed it and gave it a final coat of quick detailer






The old boy ain't too bad looking now.

Next is the enterior clean up...but that's for next week!
