Perhaps Honda has a system that kills the starter when the front brakes get sketchy. "We're concerned that you might not be able to stop, so we're just going to go ahead and make sure you can't even start!"

If so, I would suggest an improvement in merely breaking the circuit and not actually burning out the starter motor. :D
