Good choice to have Alice Cooper to induct them. Also good that the band and KK could put aside their differences to perform together again, although Glenn and KK looked liked they were intentionally staying well away from each other. Where’s Richie looked like he was really enjoying himself rocking out with KK.

Have to say, would’ve been nice if one of the band members had’ve given a shout out to every person that has played in the band that didn’t get inducted, especially Richie who was the only one standing up there during the speeches without a trophy.

RRHOF sucks balls anyway.

Oh yeah... like, how long did it take for DP and BS to get inducted? Took 20 years for Sabbath 2006, 30 for Purple in 2016... No, well done to Priest for overcoming a lot of continuing resistance to hard rock and metal groups as RRHOF inductees. The induction classes simply need to be larger, there are so many bands of all the big eras and genres that deserve a bit of retrospective recognition. Rap didn't even get a mention until Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in 2007, and that's a real shame, given that genre's impact globally. This is a whole "don't get me started" thing that looks to have gotten me started, lolz... :smug:

This is about Priest, and well done to them for their great and storied career.

I saw JP's performance and induction into The Hall of Fame on YouTube; overall, I thought it looked fine: while they certainly didn't all look to be super cordial to each other, it also didn't appear as though everyone was giving everyone else the cold shoulder.  And yes, it was great seeing KK onstage playing with his old Group again.

The Full induction:

It is kind of funny to see that the most interaction was between KK and Richie! They looked like they were having the most fun together...which to me was bit surprising.

Judas Priest announce new album Invincible Shield!

I have to say that's a rather power metal-y title and the artwork is quite cheapish and well horrible to be honest.

First single Panic Attack arrives next Friday...

The photos of the album leaked a couple of days ago. Whilst I’m not in love with the artwork I don’t think it’s terrible or anything either and has grown on me the more I look at it. The title is kinda odd but at least it’s not something as lame as “The Sinner Rides Again” or any other title that works in a song title from the past like what K.K.’s Priest is doing.

Have heard a song snippet of which must be Panic Attack and it’s sounds ultra heavy and groovy. Very different to anything I’ve heard from Priest before.

That sounds intriguing!

The album title reminds me of a magic spell from dungeons and dragons game. With the countless fantasy-themed games out there, I am willing to bet that at least one of them has a magic spell with exactly that name.

I find the artwork to be "meh". It neither pulls me in nor pushes me away.

Really interested in catching that new song when it drops next week!

Turns out it wasn’t Priest. Someone had posted up 2 videos. First was from the official JP YouTube channel of a video that had an electronic keyboard intro with the artwork and release details flashing through it while the 2nd one had the same concept video but wasn’t from the  official JP YouTube channel and was just the music from some other random band. I was thinking it sounded very different to Priest.

Well I was wondering about that as the only thing I had heard was that horrid synth intro bit.

The new single is out.

My good that synth intro is HORRIBLE! Hey Priest, the 80s called and they want their cheese back!

Rob's vocal melody is pretty good, but musically this is just modern priest by the numbers...there's nothing of interest there. And the guitar power that once was there is nowhere to be found...but then again neither are KK and Glenn...And they were 70 percent of what made Priest sound like Priest.

It's an okay song but that's about it.

^ Makes me want to see a movie with The Karate Kid going toe-to-toe with Ferris Bueller after Molly Ringwald gets trained in jungle fighting by Rambo so all of them can beat all the posh preppy kids at the dance contest and then use the prize money to keep the local video game arcade open.

Very very very VERY 80s feel in that song.

The fact that the words come up karaoke-style only underlined the paint by numbers comment Charger made. I don't hate it, but I don't love it, either.

Interesting - it's like "Turbo Lover: The Lost Tapes". I like it, of course I like Nostradamus as well :) But I wouldn't put it in the top half of their output, even though they managed to fit "wild neurotic memes' in there haha!

I listened to Panic Attack the other day.  I echo Z's comment above: I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

Hey Ted! Good to see ya again bud!

I've listened to the song few times now and....no....it's a shame cause Rob's vocal melody for the verse is really really good but the rest of the song is just so meh that it's mehtastic.
