I remember watching Keeping Up Appearances back when I was a kid and enjoying it immensly!

She was someone who found fame later in life, well into her 50s when Keeping Up Appearances began. I think I first became aware of her slightly before that when she performed an Alan Bennett monologue in his Talking Head series in the 80s.

I knew she was still alive as she lived in Chichester a few miles east of here, and had opened some sort of event back in May whilst in a wheelchair.

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has passed away...technically I think he was brain dead for quite some time and yesterday he was removed from life support.

It seems that he fell in his house few months ago and I guess suffered a brain bleed that went unnoticed and it got worse pretty fast...

Good friend of mine is as big a KISS fan as I am a Sabbath fan.  He sent my a picture of himself with Ace from years ago.  I told him it reminded me of my picture with Ozzie.
