France haven't turned up, but they would have struggled anyway. There's got to be a reaction in the second half... I don't want Argentina to win!!

Penalties now. To be honest this has been one of the best finals, they are usually cagey affairs settled by a single goal or penalties. And while this is going to be settled by penalties it's been a great game.

Indeed...one of the best finals I can remember if not the best. France really made this a great match...that's why it kind of pains that Argentina took the win after penalties..but as I expected they had the edge there...Eventhough Lloris is one of the best goalies in the world he is not a great penalty saver...Martinez on the otherhand is.

Although Messi has proven in this tournament that he is a bit of an asshole on and off the field he is still one of the best players in history and I guess the championship is well deserved too...He can now retire with a big smile on his face and a whole bunch of cheated tax money in his pocket!

Agreed - damn good game. They both wanted it, and they played like it. And yeah, Messi isn't the nicest guy around from what I've heard, but then I think about Ronaldo and give him a break. :)

That’s why we needed an Argentina France final. What a classic!

I tipped France to win on here at the start of the tournament and Mbappe to win the golden boot so wasn’t far off.
